Title: Halo's in Sonic? Halo = Sonic?
Description: Please note this is the Archie Sonic.

Look, throughout the series, you took note of the "Ark".

Well, this may be easily proved or disproved, but the Colony "Ark" and Ark Installation 00 in Halo 3 have much reference to each other, if thus is true, then was robotnik and his family of forerunner descent? *brick'd* Ow.

Anyways, I think it might be possible, and I've always felt the same thing whenever I think Sonic and Halo -

Halo : You're a SPARTAN II, and it is up to you and a rag-tag fleet of marines to save Earth from the Covenant.

Sonic : Sonic, much like the Master Chief in his own ways; it is up to him whether robotnik will take over Mobius.

Something odd eh?
Yep,

Robotnik = Covenant
No, robotnik is no Truth or Regret, but both are mass forces of destruction trying to put an end to something, the Covenant want to put an end to Humanity, whilst Robotnik wants the Freedom Fighters.

And the Freedom Fighters and Marines have much reference, as they are both under siege by something wanting to destroy them, and they have one hero they can count on to help them? Who? Sonic, and Master Chief, without going into detail I'm going to assume you know how they are linked together, and the marines and freedom fighters share similarity as well.

Just a Hypothesis I wanted to share. :T0:

There's a slight problem with that. Sonic has been around LONGER than Halo 3 has. Therefore, Halo could not be in Sonic, but Sonic in Halo. You get it? Cuase well, think, The Space Colony Ark came a long time before the Halo Ark thing in the 3rd game.

My point is that it is impossible for Sonic to be copying Halo, for Halo came later after Sonic.

Personally I think someone's been playing too much of both games XP

Basically what I get from this theory:
Sonic & Co/Master Chief & Co = Good Guy
Eggman/Covenant = Bad Guy
Ark/Ark = Same names.... and?

It's just a simple good guy bad guy thing. I really doubt Bungie would base their ideas off of a Sonic game.

I never said they were copies, or did I speak of their time periods when they were published, so the problem is null and void.

Erik : The "ark"s both look somewhat identical, whilst not in size, and the Ark in halo doesn't have the point, but they do have some relevance.

All I said was the universes are similar in my perspective, the publishing of the games and comics have nothing to do with it.

See, m'friend, this is the case with a heck of a lot of fiction.

...Along with most of the other stuff you said.

Then tell me one, not trying to be a smart alec but really, name about 5 which have basicly the same plot as Halo, or the "Archie" version of Sonic.

Did you realize you now have 1000 posts?

By the way, for your question, I didn't mean, though I probably should've clarified, that other books have the exact same plots. I meant that plot/character is used quite often, therefore that connection is really to be expected by many series, making that and some other similarities you put up null and void.

Name five? On it.

Alex Rider. They all count on HIM to save the world from somebody trying to DESTROY them.

Joel Regan, from the Cherub series book Divine Madness. All of the "Survivors" counted on Joel Regan to save them from the devils, and when the apocalypse came that he would save them all.

Matthias, from Redwall. They wanted him to save them from Cluny the Scourge at Redwall where they were being held at siege. They knew Matthias was the true spirit reborn of Martin and knew he would save them from Cluny's tyranny.

Many folktale stories about knights conflicting with dragons. The people in the village/palace/city/whatever wanted the knight to save their kingdom from teh evil dragon d00d. Lol!!1!!!1!1!!!11!!

Harry Potter. Nearing the end of the series, everybody proclaimed Harry as the "Chosen One", and knew that he was the only person who could save them from Voldemort and the Death Eaters.

And there you have it. No need to worry about feeling smart-alecky, it was just a simple question and I enjoyed wracking my brains to remember these. If you want more examples, feel free to ask and I may comply. :]

Edit: Scratch that, you now have 1002 posts. Congrats.

'Nother Edit: Wait...now it's 1003! And I'm expecting a 1004! You know what? I'm just going to stop keeping count. Twas a dumb idea from the start.

About the posts : Wow, your not joking, and only a month ago I thought I only had 400. :T8:

Don't really see the relevance in them, as it is only surrounding one person, In halo you have an army to help you against a massive force ten times the size, later on allying with a race which at first was against them after learning that their faith is wrong; and not to mention the forerunner AI 343 Guilty Spark trying to light a ring to destroy the flood, getting back on topic, the only relevance I've found is the bible.

Sonic, well at least the Archie version, is about a group of rebels fighting to save a planet from domination. And not to mention the massive robotic force and the species vs. species thing.

I wasn't relying only on the Good guy army/force < Bad Guy army/force, I was speaking aboutboth of the universes and their similarities.

Roronao - December 2, 2008 02:51 AM (GMT)
I was mostly talking about the plot you had there posted and the similarities you put. I guess I may have worded that wrong, they DO have support, such as Alex Rider having MI6 on his side, Joel Regan having the Survivors organization on his side, Matthias having Redwall on his side, the knights having the kingdom on their side, and Harry having Ron, Hermione and the rest of the wizarding community with him. I was more looking at this:

Sonic : Sonic, much like the Master Chief in his own ways; it is up to him whether robotnik will take over Mobius.

Though the others do have many on their sides, if that particular person wasn't there to help them, then they wouldn't have won, really. Like Master Chief and Sonic. If they weren't there, they really just wouldn't win against the forces of "evil".

Well, I didn't have the time to take all those into account when making it, and those were the minor similarities, your correct, but it doesn't mean I'm incorrect on the whole hypothesis.
