Yeah, I know I’m dead and everything… well, I’ve been lurking here once in a while… so just call me a “ghost”, ok? xD
Anyway, I just realized this thing … I think it fits in “sonic theories”
So…
Let’s review Shadow’s family…
Shadow was born by the “union” of a scientist and black doom.
So, his “fathers” are Gerald R. and Black doom
He has 2 known siblings (his brother and his “shadow”)… a recolored twin who is the one half of the god-thing Solaris
And don’t forget that giant lizard-thing
Also, Maria’s father/mother should be Shadows brother/sister, right?
Oh! I almost forgot the horde of aliens.
Now, if Gerald R. is his father, which means… Maria R. is his niece… so Shadow is Maria’s uncle… That would explain the “affection” they had
And don’t forget: Gerald R. is Eggman’s grandfather… that means Shadow is eggman’s uncle. (Random note: Maria is Eggman’s sister?)
So far we got:
Father: Gerald R. n Black Doom
Brother-things: Mephelis, Biolizard, some random person and don’t forget the horde of aliens.
Nephews: Maria R. and Eggman
Other possible family: Since Mephelis is his shadow, and Iblis is Mephelis half that means Iblis and Shadow are related in someway… and since Iblis is inside of Blaze, that mean Shadow and Blaze are (or were) somehow related.
Also, since Eggman’s robots are his “children” that means Omega and Shadow are related as well… also, Shadow kills his relatives, like it was nothing.
And… I’ll stop now, or else I would find a way to relate shadow to everything…
Believe it or not, I thought all of this in 5 minutes... and I was bored... D:

Technically, only Black Doom is Shadow´s father, as he helped Gérald create Shadow by giving him a part of himself. Am I correct? O.o

In some way, but Gerald was responsible of shadows “life” and BD of his body.
Without Gerald shadow would be a mindless body, I think…
So he is some kind of non-biological father O:

The game booklet for Sonic Adventure 2: Battle. I just checked to make sure, and it's there.

Oh that explains why I can't remember seeing it. I lost the manual for Adventure 2 Years ago. O.o
