What happened to them?Why aren't they in any of the sonic games today?


Note:Metal Metal Knux in Sonic Advance doesn't count(I'm talking about the Metal Knux we've seen in Sonic R)

I think they were just only for Sonic R for extra players. I don't think they didn't have a real purpose.

Though many people do want them back.

And there are quite a few bullcrap legends about the Tails Doll. I have to admit, he is pretty freakin' awesome.

Eh, I wouldn't like to see Metal Knuckles return simply because the robot characters don't interest me much. I don't even like Metal Sonic that much, to tell the truth. xD;
Buuut, I don't think Metal Knux has been used just because he doesn't really fit into the storylines as of late. Plus, it'd make sense for him to appear in a game where Knuckles plays a large role, and lately he hasn't really been doing much.

As for the Tails Doll, I like him! I seriously doubt they'd ever add him into another game, but I really wish they would! He's so creepy, I think he'd make a good villain of some sort. Not a main villain though, just kind of like an extra villain who works along with the main one.
The only problem with adding him into a game is that after playing it EVERYONE WOULD DIE BECAUSE TAILS DOLL WILL TAKE THEIR SOUL. xP

See the only thing that was close to a Tails Doll return was Sonic Adventure when you started off playing as Gamma and you need to target the Sonic, Tails and Knuckles plushie-thingamagigs.

The 2 characters were scraped, that was around the time the urban legends of the Tails Doll occured, a messed-up honor to the scraped character.

Hmm they were just little extras to add to the Sonic games?

I bet they just were extras. I mean think about it...

Original chatacter = unlockable

Sonic = Metal Sonic
Tails = Tails Doll
Knuckles = Metal Knuckles
Eggman = Eggman Robo.
Amy = she didn't have some extra person ((I think she wasn't good enough in my opinion X3))

I agree with what Morgan and Merc said. However it wouldn't surprise if they brought the two of them back for one more appearance. If not just a cameo appearance.

If they were extras, Metal Sonic wouldn't appear in a single game after that
