We all know the crazy scientist. Question is... what do you call him? I call him Robotnik since its the name I knew since the beginning in the year of 1991

I call him Eggman. In my opinion, Robotnik sounds kinda stupid. =P

I agree with Iceguy, Robotnik is a bit stupid, but not entirely. I call him just plain Eggman. I played Sonic Adventure 7 years ago when I stated to play the series and that's what I grew up with, Eggman.

I call him whatever the mood of the game calls for. Serious, Robotnik, silly or just plain dumb, Eggman. So in other words, varies.

I call him both, but for different games...
Sonic 1-Spinball and Knuckles Chaotix = Robotnik
Sonic Adventure 1-Now = Eggman.
In reality, his name is supposed to be Robotnik, because he was born Ovi Kintobor, which is Ivo Robotnik backwards.

Even though I did grow up with the classics when I was little, I'll always call him Eggman. Why? Well if you think about Robotnik was an un-official name. He was going to be called Eggman in the 2D days, But for some reason, They westernized it. There are a few classic games which use the name Eggman. Though I cannot speak for the original 3 classic cartoons which use the Robotnik name.

Sonic R (I think, Not sure)

Yes, That is correct. Sonic Drift 1 was never released outside of Japan, Which explains the Eggman thing. However, Sonic Drift 2 was an international release, But the name didn't change.

heh I have SD on Mega collection Plus. So it seems they used both names in the games.
