Question. Why doesn't Shadow ever use his rocket boots? The only time he does is in Shadow the Hedgehog, when you jump and shoot multiple times, they turn on and he stays in the air. Other times, no rocket boots. Why doesn't he ever use them?

He does use them...To run. He actually hovers off of the ground. XD

WHAT! There's always a use for flying! Even if you don't need it! If you have the ability to fly, it is your duty as a flying citizen to flaunt your flying ability to it's maximum capacity!

Well maybes his rockets wernt built for flying.

Or maybe Sega never thought of it. I don't think they were built so that he could actually be stable when flying with them that high in the air.

It'd be a little odd to see a hedgehog flying in the air as well... they probably wanted to match him up to Sonic. Like a running rival or something lol

Super Sonic doesn't fly...

He merely levitates in any direction he wants. Plus, Super Sonic wouldn't be super if he couldn't levitate. :P

Levitating in any direction that you want at your WILL is FLYING!

But, maybe MAN-MADE Hedgehog flight is a no-go.

I mean, Super Sonic's "flight" isn't man-made, like it would be with those hover shoes that Shadow sports. :|

The same thing applies to Shadow, he has rocket boots, which as seen in the past have the capacity to make him fly. Maybe the hedgehog itself may not have the ability to fly, but if it has an accessory that makes it fly, then the hedgehog itself is still flying.

That's a good point. Besides, that was just one of my theories. ;)

But I think that the shoes were meant for speed purposes only...? I don't think that the shoes were designed for speeding around in the sky.

Shadow´s shoes are hover shoes, not rocket ones. =P
They were designed for high speeds. Hovering eliminates all the friction cause by normal running, and that´s why Shadow can keep up with Sonic. =P

We were talking about how they behaved in Shadow The Hedgehog, though.....

There was another time when Shadow used his shoes to hover. Anybody recall on Sonic Adv. 2 When Eggman first met Shadow?

Yes, he hovered with them, but he still has yet to walk. The compressed air that he no doubt uses to hover is probably much too unstable for him to walk in the air, and he would probably just flip upside down if so.

I think they are just meant to hover. Maybe eventually Sonic Team will have a game where he's wearing rocket shoes. But if he had Rocket shoes he'd be able to fly, but he just hovers with them. Although if you look at it right fly and hover have the same meaning.

Actually, Shadow has flown with those rocket shoes before, so yeah they do have the ability. But maybe it takes allot to get that kind of propulsion, so he just hovers most of the time instead of going all out and flying.
