Multiple sources have revealed information from Sonic and the Black Knight in recent days, most of the info coming from Nintendo Power, here is a briefer of the new info that I have received.

-3 sword fighting styles in the game, 1 focuses on speed, 1 focuses on attack power, 1 is balanced.
-Holding B then shaking the Wiimote unleashes either a turbo boost or a very fast lock on attack. This is gauge based like Secret Rings had.
-Customizable skills from secret rings is back, Some unlock-able skills from Secret Rings are in, and there are new ones.
-About 6-9 missions per world.
-Multiplayer Battle and Survival modes have been confirmed.
-Online rankings using WiFi connection.
-TAILS is confirmed to appear in the game! He will be a side character (again) serving as a blacksmith making new items. (The reason why Nintendo Power is still calling him a mutant squirrel is not known.)
-Knuckles, Shadow and Blaze are confirmed to appear in the game as playable characters, they are knights of King Arthur's round table.
-Game rating is expected to be E10+.

Well all that information is very promising. (except for the Tails being accused as a mutant squirrel D=) Is this game only to be released on the Wii, or will it be released on other systems as well. Either this game better be good, the fact of Sonic wielding a sword kinda throws me off. Although it was interesting and is suppose to be a part of the whole story book saga as mentioned. *crosses fingers as well*

This game is Wii exclusive, it's part of what is now known as the Sonic Storybook Series which also includes Secret Rings.

So the next games are gonna be like some sort of story book settings?

It is possible for Cream to be in the game, but I hope atleast Amy is in it.

It would be interesting to see a game were Cream has a major role. I don't think I ever seen one were she really does have a big role.

She had a big role in the sonic advance series, but that's about it.

I'd be happy if she served a role like Tails, maybe like a Potion shop or something. xP

We've got some screenshots of Shadow at last! But you can't see him very well though. Amy has also been confrimed. Here are the roles each character will be playing:

Shadow: Sir Lancelot
Knuckles: Sir Gawain
Amy: Lady of the Lake.

I can't see Amy doing a role like that. x.x Maybe Rouge, but not Amy. xP

Well the characters don't have to fit their roles. Can you imagine Tails being a thief? And Knuckles being a pirate? I don't know any of these things so at least I can learn this sort of stuff from the Sonic Storybook series.

Actually, I think that's a reasonable role since it appeals to the wily nature of foxes! True, his morals are too high for him to resort to that kind of thing in the normal storyline, but it's a good role for his species! Though it also would've been good if his role had been a blacksmith or a wizard, both of which would appeal to his genius and his inventiveness.

I think you've got the wrong idea. I'm talking about his role in Sonic and the Secret Rings, Where he played the role as Ali Baba, A thief. In Sonic and the Black Knight, He's a blacksmith. Although that bit of information was taken off Wikipedia so he might not be in the game at all.

Then why isn't Sonic a fairy princess?

Because it's a game based on a story book about Knights. It's set in the medi-eval times so his speed skills aren't enough to take on the powerful foes in the story/game. He must use a sword to defeat them, And become the "Kight of the Wind" in order to defeat King Arthur, The Black Knight. In other news, Sonic also fights dragons and boars in this game. There are also sounds of people crying out in pain...The ESRB have no record of this game on their site, So maybe they're revising their view on the game before rating it. I think it will be T. Unlike Shadow the Hedgehog, This game won't be censored. Meaning you'll get alot violence as well as those noises that people make when their in pain (Choking noises, screaming, etc)

Oh...I haven't played that since I don't have a Wii yet, though I don't plan to, especially after hearing what Sonic wishes for at the end. I mean, a mountain of tissues?! WTF?!

I really, REALLY want them to bring Chao back. THAT is the only way I'll actually waste my money on a new Sonic game (no offense). X-x

Mostly the speed part. I can't really stand if SONIC, and I really mean SONIC, is going slow like in the beginning of the secret rings. This looks more promising yet I actually wanted to have Tails support him in the fighting. Not just as a blacksmith (although it makes sense since he is quite the technical fox).

I've been told that there are 3 builds in the game.
-one based for speed. (I would almost say this is a Sonic build)
-one based for power. (Knuckles build... definitely)
-one is in between those. (I am sure about this but I am thinking that this could be a Tails build)

I'd say the 3rd build is a Shadow build. Think about it. Shadow is both fast and very powerful. And the reason why ails is not playable in this game, Is the saem reason he wasn't playable in Shadow the Hedgehog. He's too young. And him being playable in a weapons based game would lead to alot of other kids his age copying.

Then SA2B wouldn't be much of a good idea either. I mean he blasts all those bots away with his cyclone. If that isn't much of violence then I don't know what is. Yes the cyclone is something that no kid got, I know. Still I can't shake the feeling Tails is missing good parts of the action...
Oh well... I am sure Tails' shining days will come. I am sure of it.

Tails used a laser and non-lethal missiles in SA2. In Shadow the Hedgehog, You used real guns and real bullets, Plus you could kill humans. Same goes for this game, You use a real sword, Not one of those censored weapons. And you kill humans in this game as well.

Shadow the hedgehog's not rated E, no little kids should be playing it anyway. XD

I think they just didn't have a part for Tails this time, the Knights of the round table fit Shadow and Knuckles, Tails is more laid back it wouldn't fit to have his knack for building things not pointed out, blacksmiths have to know what they're doing ect.
