Title: Chasing Memories
Description: MY STORY SO DON'T STEAL IT M'YES?

Kay, yes, I'm writing a story. Fanfic? No. Fanfics are not really my style. Just a regular old story, no Sonic, no Nerutu Sand Ninjas and no Halo. Just a story. I'd rather it not be bashed, however, I appreciate constructive criticism greatly, and you can be as much as an a-hole as you like (cuz I am on a regular basis).

Prologue

Walking slowly throughout the forest, he could hear the whisper of the trees. He could hear the birds singing in the trees. He could hear the chuckling and the babbling of the river flowing through the rocks and crevices. He loved the sound of the nature outside the small village of Lingard, the peace and the tranquility.

His shoes clomped across the grass, the dew soaking the leather. He had always known Lingard, it was his home, along with the forest. How he had gotten here? He wasn't sure. He pondered it himself often, but he no sudden spark of memory had ever washed over him. He'd often asked his elders, but they claimed not to know. They were lying. That was one of the few things he was sure of. But why? That was one of the things he was not sure of. Which, mind you, were quite varied. And then, he reached the forest.

He had known this forest for as long as he had known himself, yet he still never had. He'd always wondered, he'd always inquired, but nothing ever came. He had finally figured out the puzzle by himself. What did it have to do with his past? What did it have to do with him? Now the sky, the blue, the clouds fading away from his vision, it all made sense, if only at his last moment.

Even as the fire caught up to him and all of this faded away from him, he still had a small smile on his face.
