Here's one ^^.

I read the book for school and I loved it to. Especially when Bilbo teased those spiders. boy did he use a funny song to catch their attention. Just thinking about it makes me want to read it again :T11:

Ah, now THIS brings back memories. I actually read The Hobbit for the first time in second grade, then again in fourth for a book report. I finished the whole of the LOTR series in fourth grade as well, but I always found The Hobbit to be one of the better, just because it was more captivating. Yeah, J.R.R. Tolkien's one of the better writers I've seen, and I certainly enjoyed all of his books.

That sneaky dragon... I was kind of surprised to find out the Gloin (I am not sure if I spelled that the right way) the father of Gimli, was in the story. Lol what a coincidence... I look on my book shelf and what I see first is the pocket version of the story :T15: .

The encounter with Gollem was a bit... creepy in my opinion. But then again Gollem was a sneaky and creepy character after all. Oh and now I remember the sword Sting... the glowing sword Biblo carried with him ^^.

Ok I determined to borrow it from my library, after reading that I'll read Lord of the Rings. The 1st encounter with Gollum was creepy but fantastic!! :T0:

I tried really hard to enjoy that book, but it was so long and drawn out. It was so long, but I did like their encounter with the wood elves. But par of my issue with the book may have been the fact that I had a limited amount of time to read it, so I couldn't take my time and fully soak it in.

I read it last year and it was epicly awesome.

I like when.....I like all of it. =D

Except when Thorin and those...two other dudes protecting him died. That wasn't cool D:

Amazingly I have read this (before I stopped reading any books in 2005) & heard it on cassette tape when I was younger, BBC's Radio version NEVER bored me, ever ^_^

My Mum actually has a version of the book dating back to the early 1960's, we still have it in our bookcase somewhere

Hmm... I can choose now... I got the big book version with illustrations or the pocket one which I already read. I think I'd best read the large one to check if the story is the same (and also a little because I want to read it again ^^;) just to make sure :T0: .
