Title: Tales of Symphonia
Description: EKS' wild ToS fan-fiction!

Evil King Stan - January 19, 2009 05:58 AM (GMT)
Okay. I've decided to post this here because someone said they'd like to read it. ;D This is a Tales of Symphonia fan-fiction of mine. Some of the main characters are introduced in my first parts, i.e. Genis and Raine Sage, Lloyd Irving, and Colette Brunel. I will be adding my own idealized character, Eden Adams, into the story. With my weird fantasies and obsessions, writing fantasized stories with my favorite characters and adding an idealized version of myself really allows me to express myself and actually get the feel of INTERACTING with the characters.

I seriously hope this is not boring as I really only write with the purpose to entertain myself and express myself, but one of my friends says he REALLY liked it a lot and is dying for more. I really, really hope you guys like this. Here goes nothing D:

OH, and please keep in mind that this PROBABLY won't be nearly like Tales of Symphonia the game, because this is most likely going to be twisted into a freaky horror plot to satisfy my wicked, morbid little mind! Although I will include some ToS elements like the characters, of course, the desians and the human ranches, and the fact that Colette Brunel is the Chosen of Regeneration and had set out to regenerate the world... the story is going to be totally twisted out of proportion. This will include mild language. Pfft... watch, it'll probably go rated R and I will be forced to take it off as it gets farther D:

-----------------

Iselia isn't a bad place to live at all.
It's just a small village on a continent called Sylvarant - a quiet, lowly place, packed with small, but cozy homes where friendly and kind people reside. There's a shop, and a small Inn where tourists would pay to stay for a day to a few. The villagers consist of young children and elderly people alike; since it is only a village, there seems to be no crime, so everyone lives happily and in peace. Of course, it could use a little more excitement, but I guess it's a good enough place for me.

Amongst the microcosm of this tiny society, there is a school. From the outside, it only appears to have one class room. Possibly two - I'm not sure. But I'm about to find out.

I know it's only a tiny village, but I'm a tad nervous. I open the front door, and the first thing I see is the only class room which I could view through a second door - I hope the teacher, whoever she is, isn't in the middle of a lecture...
Half of me hides behind the door frame while the other half of me peeks inside the class. Oh, joy - it looks like I'm stupidly interrupting a lecture. Nervously, I rap my knuckles on the door frame to seek some attention. The teacher seems not to notice, but a couple of students turn to peek an eye at me. I swallow hard - rapping my knuckles again, but louder, the teacher pauses her lecture as her eyes avert to see me.

Her voice is soft and calm. "Well, hello there. I'm assuming you're the new student here. Please, do come in."
A little more at ease, I walk slowly to the front of the class. I can feel my shoulders nervously pushing toward my head just a tad. I finally find my voice. "Hi... Hi, everyone."
I hear quiet, welcoming voices coming from the students who sit in desks before me, greeting me - except not from the kid in red who soundly sleeps in the back of the class room. Everyone has friendly faces, and nobody seems to be looking at me as if I'm some awkward alien that just happened to barge through the door, looking for assistance on getting her rocketship up in the sky again. I am relieved.

The teacher's voice comes again. "Would you mind telling the class your name?"
"Ah, yes, of course. My name is Eden. Eden Adams." I manage a gentle smile.
"Welcome to the class, Eden," the teacher speaks. "My name is Raine Sage, but you may just refer to me as Raine, as does the rest of the class. As you've probably noticed, I teach students of all ages here who are elegible to attend school. Currently, we are in the middle of an algebra lesson. Please, do make yourself comfortable, and you may take the empty seat up front, next to Genis." I nod and stumble over to the large desk, which I'll be sharing with a kid named Genis. Great. And I'm not being sarcastic this time, either - I feel very welcome here, and it's a pleasant feeling. Like I'm accepted.

"Now, who would like to come up to the board to solve this inequality and graph it onto a number line? Genis - how about you demonstrate to the class and show how this is done?" says Raine.
The small boy with light steel hair and pale blue clothes stands up from his seat. "Yes, Raine."
Taking the piece of chalk, he writes upon the board the solution to the simple inequality. He does it with ease, as if it is too easy of a problem. To finish off, he charts the solution onto a small number line. He assumes his position back in the seat next to me.
"Very good, Genis," says Raine.

But now it is time for a break. This designated time is set aside for lunch, individual study, or quiet group chat each and every day. Some students decide to remain at their desk to study, and most go to grab their lunch and take a seat around one another to chat amongst themselves. Some take a glance at me, as if deciding whether or not to come introduce themselves. I just kind of sit there for a moment. I don't notice that Genis next to me is still there, getting out what appears to be homework for the next lesson, until a moment later.

He finally turns to face me. "Hi, Eden!" he says, his eyes closing slightly in a warm smile.
I smile gently, shyly back, "Hello - Genis."
"It's a real pleasure to meet you! Here, want a cookie? I baked them myself," he offered.
"Ooh... Mind if I do?" I ask.
"Sure, of course! Take one!" he offers again.
I bring my hand up and grab what looks to me a delcious chocolate chip cookie - and indeed it was.
"Thanks a lot, Genis. These are really good cookies. You made these yourself?"
"Uh-huh," he says triumphantly. "They're home-made, baked with only the best ingredients. I'm glad you like them!"
I couldn't find anything to say, so I just smile as I finish my cookie. I ask if I may have another, and he holds out the plate eagerly again for me to choose the cookie of my liking.

Just as I sink my teeth into the mouth-watering cookie, I notice the kid in red who slept in the back of the room coming to the front of the class near us.

"Heeeyy, Genis!" he says happily.
"Lloyd! Look who joined our class today, while you were asleep and not paying attention! Her name is Eden," explains Genis.
"Oh, hi, Eden! My name is Lloyd. This place is really nice, so I'm sure you'll enjoy it here," he says, rubbing the back of his head with a warm smile.
"Thanks a lot, Lloyd - this place really does seem to be great. I'm enjoying it here."

A girl with long, blonde hair from the desk behind me comes on over.

"Hi, Eden! I'm Colette! I hope you don't mind - oh! Oops! Oh my Gosh, Genis, I'm so sorry! Let me get that for you!" She had clumsily knocked Genis' books off the desk, and scrambled to the floor to pick them up and pile them neatly back where they had been.
"It's okay, Colette," says Genis.
Lloyd just laughs. "Haha, Colette, you dork."
Colette giggles nervously and brushes a strand of hair from her face.
I laugh along with them, like I'm a part of the group.
"Don't mind her, she's a real klutz. She's always getting herself into trouble. Right, Genis?" says Lloyd. Colette just laughs at herself, agreeing with Lloyd.
"Haha, you got that right," agrees Genis. I laugh again. This group really is a fun-loving, friendly group. I hope that there are more people I will come to know in due time that are similar to Genis, Lloyd, and Colette. Not to mention, Raine is a very nice teacher - I like her a lot, too. I don't ever recall being accepted much among my peers. They laugh with me, smile with me, joke with me... like I'm one of them.

Ah, very good from what I've seen. Stays quite true to the character's personalities, though I did expect Lloyd to say something stupid when he was introduced to Eden, just because that's him. :T15:
