Title: er a question

hoping this is in right place...
umm well I've wondered for months even years now what the response would be to sega reusing their old levels from genesis, master system and the like and giving them extensions, amazing graphics, breakneck speeds and even more amazing effects..add all of the old characters from games with amazing new graphical makovers and awesome voice actors , plus using an storyline to link all of it... would you the sonic/ tails fan community go for something like that?...me I'd like to see it happen with tails having a much more active part in it all ^_^

I'd think that'd be pretty neat, though how well it is pulled off depends on Sega. They did something like that in Sonic Adventure 2: Battle for Green Hill Zone as a special treat, but to see an entire game... My concern lies in how well those environments could be changed to 3Dish landscapes. If they use the system they used for Sonic Unleashed in the day stages (3D here, 2D there), I'd be more than content.

yeah but there green hill was a mish mash of first and second act -_-;; major let down...but playing sonic heroes over and over made me like that style of leveling...green hill is similiar to the intro cutscene level in some ways and if all the levels would be made likewise or better...well ya...and unleashed definately didn't reach my expectations ^^; but I agree day and night rocks =3

I think at this point, it would be the last thing that Sega would ever do... :T6:

Christ on a bike, no!
I'd like to have my fond memories of the old games and characters preserved as they are...

In a way, this wouldn't directly affect your memories of those games since the original Sonic 1 and so forth will still be around. I just figure it would be interesting to see some stages (Big yes for Scrap Brain Zone and Metropolis) to be converted into 3D. Of course, this happening is highly doubtful, but it would encourage me to at least rent the game.
@ X Prower: Yeah, I noticed that too about the intro. During their first concept of that cutscene (I think it could be viewed on Mega Collection Plus), I believe it had a checkered floor. Coincidence is likely since that's a Sonic staple, but it could also be a small reminder of how far Sonic has come.
