Title: Rumor Alert! Mario & Sonic Winter Olympics?
AugieD - January 22, 2009 09:37 PM (GMT)
GoNintendo and TSSZ News is reporting that a Spanish Language Nintendo Magazine dropped a hint in their latest issue that a Mario and Sonic Winter Olympics game is about to be announced by SEGA and Nintendo. The page in this particular issue shows Mario and Sonic shaking hands and has these words as hints, "Games", "Olympics", "Cold". I speculate the game if it is indeed in devlopment will be set at the 2010 Winter Game in Vancouver, Canada.
Considering the popularity of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, I do think this rumor will hold up to be true, stay tuned...

Ah, yeah, I saw this just a little while ago. It's relatively obvious that it's actually coming, what from the hints they gave us. I don't have much of a problem as long as they improve the games slightly. And maybe give boxing as an option.

Good thing I speak spanish, eh? XP
I never played Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games. Hopefully this'll be good as well.
And a boxing option would be sweet. 83

Oh gawd... I hope it's a VAST improvement of last time's Olympic game. I thought it was gonna have WiFi, but it didn't. only for scores -.-

The last game killed my arms O.o I got so easily tired!
Maybe this one will include the balance board? I mean I wish they waited for the riders sequel to come out after the balance board. That would've been fun.
Anyway winter olympics sounds like fun.

I hope they improve it as well. It wasn't much fun playing the Summer Olympics one. I stopped playing it months ago.
They get it right this time and I might consider buying it.
For now...
WHO WANTS TO BUY MY COPY OF THE SUMMER OLYMPICS ONE?
SERIOUSLY!! ANYONE!?

Sell it to me and I'll deal with it utilizing a giant hammer.
Also, I don't really see how they'll make this one different. Besides the difference of the summer and winter games, how does anybody think they'll change what has been done before?
Aurorae - January 26, 2009 12:56 PM (GMT)
If this has Wi-Fi I will get the game, but 2010 is a year away, but wouldn't they release it at the end of the year anyway? Just an assumption...
I hope there are more characters this time, I'd really like to be able to play as Cream... and more characters means more variety. I mean... they could just replace the Sonic Referee's with Chip and Omochao, and then just add the Referee's.(Cream, Charmy, Espio, ect)

Whoops! Too late! Destroyed it myself already! Sorry! :D
I've got a suggestion of what they should do with the next game...
MAKE IT MORE FUN!!!
They do that, and I won't care about anything else. :)

They shoulda had football , baseball and stuff . I was awesome at trampoline .

If this is true, I would most likely not get it. I was highly disappointed with the summer Olympics. I hated it.
Sunshine the fox - January 27, 2009 11:46 AM (GMT)
I wish Sega actually tries to put a storyline in this one, too... -.-
Aurorae - January 27, 2009 12:57 PM (GMT)
Yeah, like maybe an actual story mode, like you choose either Sonic's Team or Mario's Team, and each has a different plot.
