Title: S&K Lock On games omitted from Genesis Collection

Got some bad news for some of the classic Sonic game fans out there, SEGA has confirmed that while Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles were included in Sonic's Ultimate Genesis collection for the PS3/360, the lock on extras for those 2 games (Sonic 3 and Knuckles, Knuckles in Sonic 2 and Blue Sphere) were omitted from the collection due to development time constraints. The time was instead used to include some ports of games from the Master System and Arcade Systems.

Sega needs to stop rushing things.
I don't own a PS3 or 360, so it doesn't matter much to me, but if I did have one of the consoles, I would much rather see S3&K on there than Sonic 3 and S&K separate.

Meh, I think this Genesis Collection whatever is just another try for some quick cash. All Sega can do is re-release old games all the time. =/

The release wins because it includes Streets of Rage. The release loses because it doesn't include Road Rash. As for the S3&K thing, supprise supprise. Ah well, good job I've bought that on 5 other platforms... or something like that.

I could care less about Sonic 3 and Knuckles, It was a terrible game. Sonic 3 is much better by itself. Sonic 2 and Knuckles on the other hand is a great game. I am yet to buy Sonic and Knuckles for my MegaDrive so this is a disappointment. It would be good if the Ultimate MegaDrive collection was released on the Wii...

Hm, from what I read on another forum, S3&K wouldn't be that great on it anyway. The controls were too unresponsive (input lag) for the sonic 3 special stages.
Whatever, this probably isn't the right thing to buy for the sonic games anyway.
