Just wondering if anybody prefers Japan Sonic X to English Sonic X, and what's your opinion on each?

I recently started watching the japan version subbed Via youtube, and have notsed a LOT of differences between the two.
The biggest difference of all is the change in soundtrack, the japan version has such an AMAZING soundtrack, why on earth didn't 4kids keep it? O.o
Though the dialog is mostly the same, other then the 4kids version doesn't use the words death ect. and no swear words.

Japanese by far, far better voice acting, no crappy edits and no crappy music, etc. Atleast the French left it alone and just dubbed it in French. Though I thought Sonic X was pretty good but not great.

Japanese - Better voices, better dialogue, didn't cut out any scenes, left it as it is.

English - Alot of kid humor(which I like, go figure), I do like the voice acting except for Cream and Knuckles, and one scene in 4kids was better than the Japanese IMO.

Japanese hands down.

4Kids messed with it too much! I can't EVER forgive them for the scenes they ruined. :TailsMad:

I think the answer is pretty obvious.
The Japanese version is better that the crappy dubbed version. As said above, better voice acting (and I mean it), better music (which actually fits), no cut out scenes or crappy dialogues. Though I still consider Sonic X only a pretty good show. It kinda went downhill after the first season, in my opinion. :T13:

If you think the 4Kids dub is bad, you haven´t heard the dubs from central Europe yet. =P

Personally, I prefer the Japanese version.
Everything about is just better. But hey, 4kids that dubbed it; of course the original is going to be a lot better. ;)

Japaneser version is for me. Better voice-acting, better music, and Sonic says the s-word.

lol there is one up-side to the 4kids dub, you don't have to see Chris taking a shower. XDDDD

I prefer Japanese over the English dub. 4Kids has been getting on my nerves for a while thanks to their habit of "westernizing" anime. At the same time, I'm not that much of a Sonic X fan. Chris tended to steal scenes away from other characters, but anyways. ^^;

When did that happen?! I don't remember that...
Although, I'm quite glad for that. I lack the money to buy the large quantities of brain-bleach I would require if I did. DD;

But I do prefer the Japanese version by far. ^^ You can actually understand it better for one thing, IMO.

I jest, of course. It's easier to understand simply because 4Kids messed up the dialogue so that you CAN'T understand it.

Though I think it's freaking hilarious when Sonic speaks fractured English, so awesome. XD

I'm on the same boat as everyone else. Definitely love the Japanese version better for obvious reasons, such as the voice acting, original un-cut scenes, and the like. I even have Sonic Unleashed in Japanese. :P

*For those of you that did not watch the show, there are spoilers in this post*

I like the 4KidsTV dub of Sonic X. My reasons are cause of the type of non family friendly content I heard was in the original version of the show and the 4kidsT version was the version I watched the most. I have all 78 episodes of Sonic X from 4KidsTV on DVD.

The only disagreement I have with 4Kids is the way Episode 77 was edited, I watched the original version of Tails firing the cannon at Cosmo to defeat the metarex, before the 4KidsTV one came out. I found the original to be more emotional and longer than the 4Kids version of the same scene.

Not to mention they cut out the entire 10 minute scene where Vanilla visits the Chaotix and then she and Vector walk home.

Yeah it's OK, I used to love the 4kids version as well! XD
