This debate has been going on ever since the franchise started.
But, who'd win in a fight? Sonic or Knuckles?
In the games, you generally play Sonic so he generally wins, but in a straight fight who would you peg on top?
Strength or Speed?

It has been stated many many times before that speed out rules strength. The more strength you have, The slower you move. With speed characters, You can just keep attacking without even getting hit.

I can see Sonic beating Knuckles any day. Sure, Knux is stronger, but Sonic is much faster and Knuckles wouldn't be able to keep up with him. Unless he was a REALLY quick thinker, he'd be an easy picking

There's been an episode when Sonic and Knuckles were fighting.. 6, I think? It was in Sonic X

Sonic would win because he can beat pretty much anybody. Speed outrules strength (just like the others said) ^^;

It would be Sonic, but the battles between the 2 are known to take a while to resolve.

Sonic, for the same reasons as everyone else said, you can't beat what you can't hit.

I'd have to say Sonic, since he would have the Tactical advantage, being knuckles is a meat-head and a toughie.

I only know that Sonic could beat him Agility and Speed wise, but if it were to be a straight up punch-fight, you can't run, so Knuckles would always win, even if Sonic could throw punches faster.

I think Sonic would win too. I can't help but still look at his spikes as a weapon... you know how he 'became' a circular saw in AOSTH? Like that. He's just too quick.

Speed, because Strength is nothing if cant even hit your opponent...

Sonic beats Knuckles easily. Speed is more valuable than strength, and it's more effective in fights. Knux would run out of gas.
