Hm, interesting, although i may suggest something:

Do not resize by
1. non-square factors (Keep it proportional)
2. strange numbers (in other words, keep it to multiples of 100, halves of pixels don't exist)

you can just warn us, as well as the content filter (if on, which it can only be turned off when logged in) will prevent problems... and its not much worse than the 3rd
