Title: poll 1
Description: two polls on Red
Red Fox - March 8, 2009 05:25 AM (GMT)
I'll start saying I am a guy who has a over 80% ratio of girl friends over guy friends & I have soft feelings. My attitude tends to pour into my cheracters.
Yet the main differences between the two will obviously be the fuetures but I will state some others two. I would greatly appreciate an explenation as to why chose choice. Don't have to but this will greatly help me form or refute next question.
Guy:
1. Will always be working on mechanical stuff
2. will think actions through more often (still 80% clutz)
3. Extremely gullible
4. less shy
5. dominance issues....tends to be the one being dominated.
6. of course the physial fuetures
7. has a picture
Girl:
1. will be working on mechanical stuff yet will abruplty stop if caught. Emberassed of technical knowladge.
2. Thinks less often thus leading to funny & severe stuations
3. Very ungullible & tends to kick people in crotch area when mad.
4. more shy will run away if feels threatened.
5. male/female issues. She is still used to being a guy & ends up finding can't due certain actions anymore.
6. (same as 6 on male)
7. no picture
8. refusal to wear clothes a lot. Claims there uncomfertable.
(I hope this helps you decide :T7: )

I'd go with female. Not just for my own personal gain either. I have reasons:
There are more male fan characters than female ones. The female characters that do populate the FC universe are just recolours or Amy or Cream or are just female versions of the male characters. Red is the most original female character I've seen. Judging bythe things you put up there, I have not yet seen a female character do either of those things. That said, Red is a species of his/her own. In the end it's still your decision as to what you want.
Speed-X - March 8, 2009 02:18 PM (GMT)
I don't even understand what you're trying to do, here, to be honest. O_o;
Is it JUST to change his gender?
Well, personally, Red was just fine as a male... but the female traits sound good, too. Hm. What if you could have both-- like, say, if you have a fanfic or a comic of some sort... just have a couple of parts/issues that have him had been somehow transformed into a female or something.
That's my suggestion. But in a way, I really don't think it matters one way or the other....

And so are the males.

My aploigies for being confusing I qill try to clarify. If I am still being confusing I will try again if still confusing I'll leave this topic & come back once have phrased understandably. This question formed in my head while having the most in depth private roleplay dealing with red's attitude, history & powers. During the story Red split into multiple versions of himself for multiple reasons. When he split not only did the kitsune create multiple versions of himself...He also split his genes in the process. Causing some of his copies to be girls. So basically i'm in a dillemna.
This story will have a great impact on my editing Red's bio & making changes. I'm unsure if I should stick with feminine changes or go back to my original male state.
I hope this clarified the question if not....I'll try to rephrase or...explain what confuses people.
To Speed-X:
You could put it that way. Yes.
Morgan the Hedgehog - March 8, 2009 06:29 PM (GMT)
Awww....come on.... keep Red as a guy!

Kerri would kick people in the crotch. o_o;
I think Red should have a girlfriend as a male, become a female, fall in love as a Female, then later when Red is in a delemma of what to do with himself, Red realises this is an opertunity to finaly rid himself of the gullible evil Red 2, and replace him with a female version of himself!
So Red becomes, da da DA, BOTH! A female and a Male in one. Two based of the same person, but two totaly diffrent people, who can split apart when desired. =33
Strelok - March 9, 2009 12:31 AM (GMT)
Clones/Duplicates?
Then use both, it seems simple enough, because if he genetically divided then there is more than one red; so simply put in a Female or Male character where you feel fit.

To Morgan:
Ermmm...sorry if this topic bothered you....Right now i'm just glad alissa's gone. She was a major hinderance of the development of my cheracter. This would of happened a lot sooner. But if this kinda thing bothers you i'll use just the red you know whenever roleplay again.
To everyone:
I think I might stick with Cute's idea...For one...I never thoght about that. Also tthe way Strelok & some other members put it into context makes his idea sound al the more interesting. I'd still like to hear a few more peoples decsions before I decide. Again many thainks for the help.
Sunshine the fox - March 9, 2009 03:53 AM (GMT)
Err... Dose it really matter? :T5: I don't think gender is the problem...
Red Fox - March 9, 2009 04:48 AM (GMT)
Ummm....May I ask what you mean by that comment sunshine?
Cute lil Fox - March 9, 2009 05:02 AM (GMT)
To Sunshine: Ummm...YES. XD Gender is a huge factor in Character development.
X prower - March 9, 2009 07:39 PM (GMT)
guy xD sorry but red being a female dont fit in my mind for some reason 0.o
Thierry"TrueAim"Prower - March 9, 2009 08:20 PM (GMT)
It doesn't quite matter with me really...
Male or Female, it matters not to me.
Red you know what TrueAim will for ever do... he vowed to himself to be that...
Red Fox - March 9, 2009 10:04 PM (GMT)
Ok thanks everyone. Poll is considered closed but you can still throw your opinion in if want. I'm listening to everything. This has shut the other 2 polls down for the results negate them. Sorry Ky...Red will remain a boy.
Strelok - March 9, 2009 10:50 PM (GMT)
I have an idea, how about we use the "Boy girl" idea, but instead, when you feel a certain mood and want to RP as a girl (or boy), then you make it one of the duplicates, so that you aren't doomed to the same-old personality which differs from your swaying feelings and moods.

What I meant was maybe changing your characters personality, species, or appearance.
Gender to me wouldn't make much of a difference...
Red Fox - March 10, 2009 03:13 AM (GMT)
When you put it that way sunshine....Yeah...It would be a big difference....XD....You stick a Punch in my brain. I need to think how to reply to everyone.
Strelok:
Xd sounds good but Sunshine stated somethign that has my brain stumped.
Cute lil Fox - March 10, 2009 05:38 AM (GMT)
What are you talking about? Gender makes a huge diffrence, it changes how his character interacts with everyone, how his character acts, the role among the group, everything. There are some aspects of a character that doesn't really matter that much, but Gender is one of the big ones.
Red Fox - March 10, 2009 08:09 AM (GMT)
AAACK!!!! I'm REALLY lost now!!!! XD
Umm...CLF....What exactly do you mean by that?
Cute lil Fox - March 10, 2009 08:43 AM (GMT)
As a person grows up, their gender effects a huge part of who they are, cause every society has values for both genders. In character creation, you need to realise those values, how the character would develop by growing up in that society. Gender, race, age, personality type, and how physicly attractive they are all are huge factors in character development and inner thought.
I've taken classes on this. XP Scriptwriting, phychology, and Sociology. =3

Lol, me too XD
If you want to have a female version of Red, DON'T USE CLONES OR ANTI-. They are typically common, and unoriginal.
If this was my choice, I would have Red accidentally be transformed into a girl, you know, and energy reaction to the Chaos Emeralds, or something like that. XD
You don't have to use my idea, my stories get complicated with this kind of stuff. XP
Red Fox - March 31, 2009 02:13 AM (GMT)
In truth cLF & Casey I can't either....*shivers* Scary...Welp...I shoulda gave question before try thought. I might be stuck slightly.
