1. Sonic Adventure 2(isn't it everyones favorite? XD)
2. Sonic Unleshed (Go crazy powerful >=D)
3. Shadow the Hedgehog (Mainly for the shooting XD)
3. Sonic Heroes (intresting gameplay =3)
4. Sonic CD (Lol really old XD)
5. Sonic and the dark brother hood(It's portable! That good, right?! XD)

1. Sonic 06 ( I love it)
2. Sonic Adventure (Better than SA2)
3. Shadow the Hedgehog(Guns! Fun!)
4. Sonic Adventure 2 (Tails has gunz, Shadow is awesome)
5. Sonic Unleashed (Werehog is awesome)
6. Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity (Better than Sonic Drift)

I like most of the Sonic games, except for some of the Game Gear/Master System games. owo

I haven't played many Sonic games, but I like Sonic Unleashed

Okay, first off, I don't feel that Shadow the Hedgehog should be on ANYONE'S list. Why? Because it's NOT a Sonic game. Can I prove it? Of course! You NEVER once play as Sonic, and Sonic is NOT a main character in the game. Okay, I think I proved my point.

So, with this in mind and Shadow the Hedgehog being dropped from the list because of it, here's my top Sonic Games.

In no particular order: (Seriously, it would be too hard for me.)

However, there is one that stands above them all, and that game is...

SONIC CD!!

That is, was and always will be the top Sonic game for me.

Cliché maybe, but Sonic 2, Sonic 3. Sonic & Knuckles, Sonic CD, and maybe the first game.

The game's name is just "Tails Adventure" (unless you mean "Tails Sky Patrol")

but anyway, if you say those can't be counted as sonic games, even some of the ones that you play as sonic can't be counted either. Why? Because if some spin-off games can't be counted as sonic games, NONE of them should be.

So yeah, I'd say count them, they are still part of the series.

Well, let me give you guys where I'm coming from with it.

You see, by saying that Shadow the Hedgehog is a Sonic game, you give credit to a character that is not the main character of the game, and does not deserve the credit. So, in Shadow the Hedgehog, Shadow is the one who earns the credit and so it's a Shadow game.

Tails Adventure is our beloved fox's own game. If you say it's a Sonic game you give credit to Sonic, not Tails. In truth, it's a Tails game.

Knuckles Chaotix is the last one on the list. Knuckles and the Chaotix team get the credit, not Sonic. So in that sense, it makes it either a Knuckles game or a Chaotix game, or even both if you prefer.

Simply guys, where I'm coming from, it's the equivalent of calling Mario is Missing a Luigi game. Despite having Mario in the name, it's Luigi who gets the credit.

With the spin-offs, it's okay to call them Sonic games. As long as you can play Sonic, it's okay in the end.

Now, if you STILL can't understand where I'm coming from, I'm sorry, but I can't make it any clearer for you.

Oh, so I put a Robotnik game in my list... I understand.

Just so you think Shadow the Hedgehog isn't a Sonic game, doesn't make it real. Stop looking at it that way, and stop forcing your views on other people. You're not always right y'know, no one is.

1. Sonic Chaos (Master System). Always will be my favourite for a reason I find hard to explain. Maye it's becuase it was the first game I completed on my own. Maybe becuase it was the first Sonic game I played where you can fly (as either Tails or with rocket boots), spindash and use objects in the levels. Reminds me of my days as a young kid.

2. Sonic 2 (Megadrive/Genesis). A game I spent hours on when I was a kid. The multiplayer was endless fun back then. Still fun to play today, if you can convince game snobs to play something that doesn't involve hacking someone to pieces with SuPAH aWESome graphics. I loved Casino Night zone so much =P. I love the fact that someone could get the 2nd controller and act as a boss killer/scout to help you along the way.

3. Sonic 3 & Knuckles (Megadrive/Genesis). I'll admitt, I didn't play this game until my brother brought round the Sonic Mega Collection in 2004. Even by those days standards, it was an awesome game that kept me entertained for months. The multiplayer was disappointing though.

4. Sonic Adventure 2: Battle (Gamecube). I can't remember buying this, but I was told about it by my older brother and after I bought Heroes, I was keen to get my hands on it. This is what 3D Sonic games should be like. So much to do and an understandable story line. It has everything. Played it for months without getting bored.

5. Sonic Advance 2 (Gameboy Advance). Only just edges out Sonic Adventure. I took this game everywhere; holiday, exam hall, school trips. I really loved it. Again, this was a game I played for months on end without getting bored. That started my craze for the Sonic handheld games. It was the first I had, and thus far, it's the best IMO.

I personally am not liking what Sega is releasing as of the last 5 or so years. None of them come even close to the above listed.

Those are my top five. I frickin' love Sonic Adventure. <3 And I like Sonic Shuffle, too. Anyone ever play that? xD

Everyone bashes Sonic Shuffle D= I bought a Dreamcast for the sole purpose of getting my hands on that game and I loved it personally.

I loved it too! It was very interesting. xD I always loved the Dreamcast, really, I miss that thing. lol

Never played shuffle, but yeah, Dreamcast FTW.

Now hold ye horses there. You CAN play as Sonic in Shadow the Hedgehog, the spin-off game. If you get a nice GCN controller and plug it in to the old GCN controller slot two, then you can control ANY (well, almost, at least) partner character of the game. Therefore, in _____ level that has Sonic guiding you through it (e.g. Westopolis), then you can, in fact, play as Sonic and, according to your definition, play a Sonic game.

Now, as for my list, it's rather late and I have homework yet to be done, so unfortunately, can't give an explanation why at the moment.
