Title: Any Twilight haters?
Description: I need advice

Well I recently started this work course thing. It's like school only the paper work and lessons all involve going to work and stuff. Anyways Friday is book club day. We're supposed to bring in a book we're currently reading. We read silently to ourselves for a few minutes, Then we talk about the book we just read. There 4 (2 students and 2 teachers) people in my class that LOVE the Twilight series and will most likely bring one of the books in. I was wondering if anyone knew any good books that might get the Twilight fans attention a little? Or make them read something that ISN'T written by Stephanie Meyer? I really need help other wise I'll get judged of why I don't like Twilight.

Sorry i didn't read the book but I saw the gawd awful movie adaptation! It made me and my friend laugh a lot. we cracked jokes the whole time. No offense to the fans but with some scenes with the male protagonist, it's like he just ran out of lines and awkwardly walked away. XD I feel sorry for this movie. I definitely like Harry Potter better ^^;

I think I stopped watching the Harry Potter films after I saw the 4th one. Anyways, I brought in a Warriors book. It was one of the mangas called "The Rise of Scourge". They were slightly disturbed when I told them how many murders Scourge committed to gain Leadership...Even more so with the picture of Scourge ripping Tigerstar's throat out, Taking away all 9 lives with just one blow...And the blood...It was generally well received.

Me.
I watched Twilight the movie, wasn't much but some romance. The sparkly part was a good laugh, though.
Maybe Roadside Picnic or them Gregor Books?

Great book my English 101 class did. In Cold Blood. It's a true story that's about a murder in Kansas back in the 50s. The author switches back and forth between the murderer's lives, and the lives of the town that the murder happened in. As soon as it starts to get good in one area, the author switches to the other, leaving you at a cliff hanger. I was a truly great read.
Also, my English teacher thought Twlight was terribly written on a terrible idea. :T14: I don't like the book either, and I certainly didn't like the movie.

Okay when I read Twilight it was only because my best friend's birthday party would be going to see the movie. It wasn't all that bad in my opinion until I got to the sparkle part.
I started busting out laughing in my Study Hall
The Bakin' Muffins has seen the Twilight movie so many times she can recite almost every line in it O.o
Twilight is okay in my opinion, I just wish that it didn't make Vampires look like the most perfect thing in the universe... *slowly shakes head*

I've read a good bit of Cirque Du Freak books. I think it was the whole series. Pretty much liked it. I've also watched a great deal of vampire movies too. And when I saw that one part in the movie that went something like,
Girl:: Your skin is beautiful
Vampire:: It is the skin of a predator...
I was like, "Naw," walked out the room. I didn't want to watch it anymore. Maybe the book is better but I'm not a book reader. The movie, I sure didn't like it. Now bash me if you will.
