Title: Recommend Music To The User Above

CreamCrazy - May 10, 2009 01:55 AM (GMT)
This may seem like a fan game thanks to the title but this is quite serious.

We all like to find new bands right? Well why not use users here to get some.

Think about what music the person above listens to (if you know what he/she listens too, even better) & recommend something that you think they may like, although seriously make sure they haven't heard it before, because that just causes annoyance if they have.

Also every post doesn't have to be a recommendation post, replying to say what your thoughts on the bands recommended to you are allowed too

Lets get started people ^_^

Ooh, I know since you like britpop and soft stuff, you'll like this band <3

They're called Loop Tape. Discovered this band while lurking Last.fm. they're a britpop band from Russia, and just have this wonderful soothing sound to them. Sounds amazing if you listen in the right mood x3 listen listen: Sealike is their best btw

They aren't too bad; nothing I'd listen to on a daily basis but not bad. If you like good acoustic work like that you'd probably like some rock from the early 60's to the 70's.

I'm technically recommending this to everyone. I've recently discovered the work of VAST... an American alternative rock band based in Austin, Texas. The acronym VAST stands for Visual Audio Sensory Theater and is the main creation of singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Jon Crosby.

WWE fans & Angel Fans may recognise one of their songs in particular (Touched was used by WWE as a re-cap video for Wrestlemania 25 & the song was included on an Angel Soundtrack album).

I've fallen in love with Touched over the last few hours or so & I'm now rapidly trying to track VAST's debut album down... listen to the song... it's a brilliant song that takes the breath away: Touched - VAST

Those who have been taken in by Britrock, particularly you WoJ and CC, I'd suggest Supergrass.

Often you guys hear me go on about how my older sister influenced bands such as Oasis, Stereophonics, Travis and Blur onto me, well Supergrass were also influenced onto me, but I haven't get got round to gathering all I remember of them. I kept songs such as "Alright" and "Pumping On Your Stereo" in my libary for years, but I've got bored because it's been so long.
Their self titled album is one which my sister had. Might be worth looking at/stealing off the internet.

*BIG COUGH*

Ugh, I swear I'm coming down with something D; Maybe I have Swine flu

I think I'll suggest my #2 favorite band of all time, The Human Abstract

This is my favorite song by them, Harbinger, which has a lot of classical routes put into a metal song. Basically, that's how this band works. Every member of the band is extremely talented at what they do. Sadly, the lead guitarist left before the recording or their 2nd album, and it's much less...energetic. Still, their first album. Nocturne, is my all-time favorite album to listen to.
