Amy Rose was actually called Rosey the Rascal. Most of you know she was Amy's original design. She got a redo in Sonic Adventure, witch is the Amy Rose we know today with the red dress and boots. Amy wasn't created by Sonic Team, but by a popular japanese parody comic company, Corro Corro Comics. (I'm afraid the comics were never translated.) The comic was called Dash and Spin; Super Fast Sonic!! (Chousoku Sonikku) It was quiet a very slapstick serries. XD (Some issues show Eggman trying to catch Sonic using glue)

The manga, which started in 1992, was about a hedgehog boy named Nicky Parlouzer who can turn into Sonic the Hedgehog. Along with Miles "Tails" Prower, Sonic fights Dr. Eggman.

Nicky has several friends in the "real world", including little John, his girlfriend Amy, as in an actual relationship (a prototype/first incarnation of Amy Rose), and Charmy (a prototype/first incarnation of Charmy Bee). Nicky also encounters a lizard bully named Anton Beruuka with his little brother, Matt, and their pet, Mad. Nicky's family at home includes his mother, Brenda, his father, Paulie, and his little sister, Anita.

Wait, I've heard of that comic before o_O
