Title: Rules for the forum

Mcloud1 - September 13, 2006 08:21 PM (GMT)
Well, I noticed that this forum needed rules, so here they are:

1. NO stealing art! Stealing art will get you suspended for at least a week (and maybe banned) and will get your topic sent to the trashbin. Remember what happened to Neo Matrix? That's whats gonna happen to you when you steal art.

2. ONE TOPIC PER PERSON: To keep hte forum neater, only one art topic per person. Rule temporary suspended. You may create more than one art topic. ^^

3. NO TOPICS WITHOUT ART IN THEM: This is an ART forum, so no making a topic here without art. Also, no making topics claiming you are making art, they will be sent to the trash bin. Either show us the art, or it will be considered spam and deleted.

4. COMPUTER ART ONLY: Only art made on the computer counts here. Colorized versions of hand drawn art doesn't count. If it is hand drawn, it goes in the FAn Drawings forum.

And of course, the basic forum rules apply here too, so break them, expect a warning.

have fun!

Oh, I've got a question! Right now I'm making a tutorial type thingy for Photoshop 7 to help out a friend. Once I'm finished, I'm gonna post it on here as well. I'd probs just post in my own art topic but, it might make it easier to make another topic for it. However, we're not allowed to make another topic..so, really I'm just asking, do we make another topic for tutorials or just post 'em in our own topics? Dx *shot*

To answer your question, guns go bang!!: Yes, I think you can make a separate topic for your art works and tutorials, just so people are aware that you are offering advice and tips for making things if they don't view your art work topic. ^_^

i have a question: if your art topic is dead you can make another one right? becasue bumping is against the rules...

Immortal Cookie - December 8, 2006 02:49 AM (GMT)
Zeero: The ONLY time bumping is ever allowed is when the topic starter has an art update. Let's say the topic is 3 months old, and the topic starter decides to make a comment about jo' momma. Bumping an art topic to talk about jo' momma is against the rules..but if the topic starter has an art work update, then he or she will put up the art update and can talk about jo' momma if he wishes. *smack'd for such asilly example* x.x

But yea. Only if there is an art update, then you can bump your topic. And it has to be the topic starter who bumps te topic. A fan of the artwork cannot bump the topic.

Are Sigs made in photoshop computer art?

Immortal Cookie - December 23, 2006 06:50 PM (GMT)
zeero: Bumping and double-posting is okay as long as you are the topic starter with an art update.

Xavier: *Nods* ^^

I have to speak my mind when I say I don't like the "one topic per person" rule. I have had experiences with them in the past, and it just makes your art fail in the end. You post a topic about your art, people coment, tell you its cool, then it dies. but, then theres more art you want to show! You repost somthing...but...no one comments! You don't get all the comments you deserve cause your ability to make a topic exclusivly for an awsome drawing...is gone. Having only one topic hurt my ability to be able to showcase my art successfully. I know people have one topic art topics and they are succesfull...for a time. Then when it dies, what do you do? You don't bring back the old one, you put up a new one!

Sonic Anime, as far as I know, doesn't have that rule, and their art topics FLURISHED, and I never heard of their being any serious problems cause of it. Thats also why Deviant Art is so succesfull. Everytime you post a new pic, its showcased to all your friends, and a new topic is specificly put up for that art peice for comments and critiqe. People post art without worry, and showcase their stuff.

Sure, it may be a little more work for the mods and Admins but...isn't it worth making your members happier? Please don't get mad at me...I'm just a little concerned. I've had really bad luck with this rule in the past.... :(

Hrm...I actually agree with that. On other forums I use to go on, we use to have the system where you post a new topic for each new art piece you have and you'd get heaps of new replies. But then it got changed to one topic per member and you wouldn't get very many replies.

I'll ask other staff about it then but I'm not gonna guarantee anything. D:

I have one question, are we allowed to post colabs that were done with people off-TTFF with their permission? (or are we allowed to post them at all?)
