Tails petition to Sonic Team (Two Tailed Fox Forums)

I decided to write a letter to Sonic Team, and try to convince them to make Tails a playable character in one the their future games, and to pay more attention to him over all. This is actually a sort of petition, so please, if you add something to the letter, put your name on the bottom. Even if you don't edit the letter at all, post your name and I will add it for you. The more names we get, the better the chance of them listening to us.

If you don't want your name on the internet, send it to me in a PM, and I will add it right before I send it to Sonic Team. That way, the only people who will see it will be Sonic Team and myself.

Here is what I came up with so far, I want some of you to help me write it, so if you have an idea, simply copy and paste the current letter into your post, and add what ever you want. Try to keep it looking professional, or they won't even bother reading it.

Once we get enough people, I will email it to them. I may even email it to them several times until I get a reply.

I realize there are a lot of petitions out there, and I'm glad. I honestly know that this will probably not make a difference, but I have to at least try. I want to make it as big and best as I possibly can, which is why I need help writing it. Hopefully after getting 1000 petitions, they will finally realize that we wont stop.

I sign these all the time, but you're better off sending a letter, not an e-mail.

Ben Hurst put this one pretty well. Big corporations tend to ignore e-mails, as they get tons of them per day and their secretaries sift through them every day. If you e-mail that to them, chances are the high-ups will never read a single word of it.

A letter, on the other hand, is statistically more likely to be read, as it can be felt. I don't really know why that is, but letters must give a greater sense of realism or professionalism than e-mails. Of course, it's still no guarantee. But if you want the best possible odds, go for a letter rather than e-mail.

Anyway, you can put me down as Shaun Dailey. I'm part Irish, and have an unusual name spelling. As I said though, letters tend to work better.

Before Sonic Adventure 2 came out technically Tails wasn't suppose to be playable at all but I guess petitions like this or a bunch of letters must have changed that huh?
On the other hand I agree with Sbaby liek always sincehe always makes a good point and a letter would actually be better.

Well if you guys prefer, I can print this out when we have enough names, and then I can mail that to them. But if the names aren't handwritten from each person, they may not take it seriously, and think I just made up a bunch of names or something.

Either way, they are most likely not going to take it seriously, and odds are it's not going to do anything anyways. But I feel like I have to at least try. You never know, maybe this will be the one petition that sends them over the edge, and they finally decide that they can't take it anymore, and put him in every new sonic game. ^^

An on-line petition is fine for petitions, but what I really mean is that if you send a letter (petition or not), you're more likely to at the very least get noticed. Letters can be felt, rather than just read on a screen. So corporations tend to at least take them a bit more seriously.

We're not saying to make a game all about Tails, although that would be cool, but at least make him a playable main character now and then, not just some side character you see only twice if you're lucky.

Please consider this for one of your future games! It would make a LOT of people happy, and won't bother anyone who doesn't like him, so you really don't have anything to loose, except a little extra work on your part.

We're some of the bigger Tails fans out there. We have noticed that you seem to be ignoring him lately. By that we mean, you don't seem to be adding him to some of your recent games. I mean, he is the 2nd main character of the Sonic series, yet he never seems to be a playable main character. Sure, you can be him once or twice in some games, but we want him to be an actual, playable, main character, like he should be. He has just as many fans as any other character, possibly even more, so there is no reason to neglect him like you have been.

We honestly think you should stop making new characters for a little while, and start focusing on the older ones, Tails most of all. It seems like he is slowly getting ignored more and more and soon he may be gone completely. We here at TTFF (Two Tailed Fox Forums) can not, and will not stand for this! Many people, including most of us here at TTFF, depend on him, and he has changed our lives for the better. To be honest, some of us wouldn't be here right now if it wasn't for him.

We realize you must get these kind of emails a lot, but please consider it. We're not asking for a whole lot.
