check out the stickiees.

for bictory mod its

break of clip off the bic
make a hole in the back of the bic and put a bic ink tube in it to make it more balanced and heavier.
add the caps on
put grips

the end

imo bictorys are to lite. but w/e like u said u had alot of bics.

Donk3y - April 23, 2006 06:26 PM (GMT)
specter i think ur BICtory is made wrong.....

i thought u were supposed to poke out the back plug with something (chopstick)
then take another ink tube and tip as is and put it in the back so its identical on both sides.

then cap and grip both ends so its perfectly simetrical and balanced....

i duno, but donkey's method makes a bit more sense to me. but im having ALOT! of trouble trying to get the plug out.... :bawling.gif

tips?

Ivan the Terrible - April 23, 2006 06:54 PM (GMT)
Mostly everyone had those troubles. I needed half a hour to take it out. Just use your imagination. Use some pliers or cut it off and use a screwdriver.

Sathon - April 23, 2006 07:01 PM (GMT)
sometimes they superglue it tho...
I cut it like Ivan said and sand the inside part

Toast - April 23, 2006 07:16 PM (GMT)
hmm cutting...

well im gonna go ahead and assume you mean cutting with sisscors?

cuz i dont wanna use a knife :D

sliPrix - April 23, 2006 07:19 PM (GMT)
Today I used a spiral clear tube with a back end that was nearly impossible to get out. So I busted out the drill, and slowly drilled a hole in the back bigger and bigger until it got to the point where i could pull the end out with a pliers.

slickhare - April 23, 2006 07:24 PM (GMT)
i just used one of those art knives (x-acto i think) and cut the back off pretty close to the black part. worked like a charm. although it took a while.

nike t - April 23, 2006 07:44 PM (GMT)
i hammer a nail into the back thingy and then wiggle it till i hear a crack (the glue) then i pull it out

InhumanElmo - April 23, 2006 07:54 PM (GMT)
I don't use bics. I get the cheap Office depot, office max, staples, etc. stick pens that look the same. The back is much easier to get off and works the same way!

Toast - April 23, 2006 07:55 PM (GMT)
argh...this takes so much work. im gonna try to siscor cut it lol.

Flashy - April 23, 2006 08:03 PM (GMT)
hers a method i use that works everytime
put the bic in a cup of boiling water and jus let it sit there
then after a bit i get someone really strong to hold it then i get round choptick and push as hard as i can
works like a charm

specter290 - April 23, 2006 09:06 PM (GMT)
my bad donkey. its cuz i think one of my friends gave up pulling out the back plug he just used a saw and cut it off. lol. ne ways i dont bother with that nonsesne i just put a cap and the end. and if it doesnt balance i just put paper. thats all. to lazy to take out the back plug.

darkinertia - April 23, 2006 10:07 PM (GMT)
what i did was used pliers and bent in al the sides (do that like 10 times) then just pull it out!

I do the same thing. Even though I don't use BICtory mods much, they're easier to make when you just get the generic kind of round stic pen.

Toast - April 24, 2006 08:49 PM (GMT)
considering the slikness of a bic, i have found that labelling stickers, cut into thing strips, and placed onto the ceter of the bictory in rows parallell helps alot with the slick nss.

helps my thumbarounds and sonics.

still cant do infintiy with my bictory tho lol

RippDrive - April 24, 2006 09:43 PM (GMT)
I just made a bictory today but I find the little nubs on the caps pretty annoying. Has anyone tried to cut/sand those off? How did you do it and how well did it work?

As for getting the back off, after trying a bunch of different methods the pliers worked the best. After I squeezed around the plug I started squeezing just under it to force it up a little.

I use a pair of needle-nose plyers to snip off all of the clip, then carefully use a lighter to smooth out the sharp edge. I just barely let the flame touch the edge, then just use my finger to smooth out the melted plastic.

Hi!
There are lots of Mods which use BIC pens . But is this always the same BIC pen? Because I know that the BIC round stic is very popular but which other BIC pens are good?

darkinertia - May 1, 2006 12:19 AM (GMT)
ultra grip stics are used for an extended version....theres one like the grip stic only the whole thing is grippy and thats really nice for a bictory

lol doesnt that burn??? any ways.. i just get a swiss knife and drill a hole through the back, take sum pliers and then just push it to a side and then pull the plug out....

Tenku069 - May 6, 2006 11:07 PM (GMT)
Lol... u guys make it look so complicated..... just use a regular meat knife( make sure its real sharp and jagged..ish). Then cut aoubt a milimeter from the plug ( yes your cutting your pen and making it shorter, but its only a milimeter.. and by doing this your cutting off the superglued part). Whenyour done just use some chopsticks and push down on the pen.... wallah your done =] ;)

Toast - May 7, 2006 12:55 AM (GMT)
tenku, the 1mm diff makes you ahve to cut your inktubes, therfore lowering the weight.

but thats what i did for my first bictory

You don't apply the flame directly. One way I have tried is to use a flame to heat a knife and then smooth with that. Potential for screw up is slightly less than when using a lighter.

In this topic lets talk about ideas or thoughts about the bic mods

Sathon - June 8, 2006 03:48 AM (GMT)
I use another random caps for my bic-ssa. really good. i reccomend it if You can find those. it cant fit in the bic barral very well so the pen got the same lenght as mx.(18.5 cm)
the pen was for california taxi commercial i guess. i got it from the thai new year festival in LA. if they come again this year i'll get some more.

btw, what's the top pen in ur sig?

el3ctricAmp - June 8, 2006 08:24 PM (GMT)
my own mod....it is the WORST!!!! :P

Toast - June 8, 2006 08:26 PM (GMT)
i thought i smelled a bictory-related post ;)

i've made a 4cm extenedded bictory before

and it IS collapsible. meaning you can take it aprart and put it back togehter sturdily.

i've also recently signo tipped a regualr bictory. dont metal tipp a extended bictory. its too long to spin

yah dats it <_< bics ftw

ps. dontthink im cheap cuz i like bics, i have rsvp MXs and bictory just suits my style more.

PS for my extended bictory i didnt need to cut the ink tubes or adjust them (plus if u do it usually leaks....well for me at least)

yes, all you need to do is bend one tube while you put the other one in and push.

Toast - June 8, 2006 10:51 PM (GMT)
no beinding required

with enough skill, it fits perfectly B)

rodi - June 12, 2007 07:32 AM (GMT)
where does one get ahold of the spiral tubes that I see people using in their BICtory mods???
