[its been a while since i posted... cuz i've been busy with stuff... ;) any ways.. my old pen (the 1 in my sig) just broke a few weeks ago.. i was sad..... so i didnt do much untill now... i spent countless hours thinking of how i can make it so that the same thing wont happen again... the part that broke was the part that connects the RSVP to the G2.. seems that if u shave off too much of the teeth for the back cap the thing gets TOO brittle, and if u dont it will never fit.. so i have thought up of sumthing that will work very well :) ok so basically heres a tut:


PENS YOU NEED BEFORE YOU START:

1.RSVP(the body, inktube, and 2 grips.. sorry guys.. but if you want it to look good you need 2 but if not.. one is enough and use another grip from another pen NOTE:it wont match well if its from another pen and if its too ugly dont blame me!!!
2.Pilot G2 (the most valuable part in the G2 (in my opinion) the clicker part, well sorta the whole back part up to where the clip ends)
3.Uniball Signo (the Tip, thats it. sorta a waste but if you want i'll teach you guys how you can still write with it, and it'll still look O.K ish.. lol

1 you take the RSVP barrel and you cut it above where the ink comes out (the front) cut it about half way from the grip to the tip of the pen (NOT THE INK) and make sure the ink is out.. or else.. it'll get really messy........

2 Sand down the teeth for the back cap on the RSVP, make sure its all smooth and u cant feel the teeth..(even if i get a pic, my camera isnt good enough to show the teeth.. so.. yeah.. this part is SIMPLE if u cant do this with out a picture, DONT MAKE THIS MOD!

3 Glue a metal tip on (i cant get HGGs here in Canada so i used their Gel rollers or Signos are good too... and i read that HGGs r discontiuned any ways.. :( too bad.. i never even got to try 1...) any how.. check to see if the ink tube can fit through tho.. before you glue.. or else.. you might just waste a pen.. if it dosnt fit, cut the tip a little bit more or just sand it a bit more.*NOTE: if you use a Signo tip, its gonna be hard for you later on because you have to mess around with the G2 ink tube part.. because the tip for the Signo is made weirdly... -.- as in the inktube doesnt come out far enough blah blah blah.. you'll know when you get there...

4 cut the G2 Barrel at where the clip ends (it should be just a bit over 4.5cm and for all u americans... a bit less than 2 inchces.. now for me.. the G2 i made my first pen with was a little tight so i took a knife and just scraped off a little bit of excess plastic on the inside, some are like that some are not.. -.- deal with it if it is.

5 Now this might be a little hard since there is not that much area for you to hold onto on a RSVP cap.. but here goes: you take a RSVP cap and you cut it just below the part which sticks out on the inside so thats abit over 3 cm form the tip of the cap (the end with NO hole) you guys are smart... you'll figure it out..

this is what its supposed to look like after you've cut it.

6 once you have that, the hard part is over.. (sorta but no really) now you have to worry about putting the pen together, you will need the G2 inktube for this part, (only the back.. oh i donno.. half cm of the tube (i just cut it where the liquid ends so i dont get a mess, works every time.) put that in the G2 part and push it onto the RSVP (this part should fit but it will need abit of strength.. oil always helps, but then it never drys.. you could use nail polish remover or sumthing.. i heard its good.. any how once u get that in.. ur almost there.

NOTE: IT WILL BE DIFFERNT IF YOU ARE USING A SIGNO TIP OR ANY OTHER TIP BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE TIPS ARE MADE, SOME LET THE INK TUBE COME OUT MORE, SOME LESS PLAY AROUND WITH IT.. YOU'LL KNOW WHAT TO DO.. EITHER CUT IT SHORTER.. OR.. WELL.. UR SCREWD.. -.- lol.. but seriously, if its too short... your screwed. u'll have to waste another inktube or do something else.. like use a toothpick or sumthing..

7 OK! i fogot this the first time i posted but with out this this pen wont retract.. lol thank you.. whom ever reminded me or asked me.. (im sry i forgot ur name.. >.< i know i should be damned to hell.. plz forgive me.. :) ) ok. so. you want to use a pair of plyers or sumthing for this part. get the ink tube from ur RSVP and pinch it at about where it says: BLK10 its written in a bumpy way.. so yeah.. i think you guys know what im talking about.. it wont show up on a pic so i wont even bother taking one.. and so any ways.. yeah pinch that place flat.. if ur ink tube says BLK(single digit) then.. pinch the digit.... -.-and after ur done.. just pinch the sides a bit so it will stick out more.. u only need it to stick out like 1mm or so.. now. use a spring that fits on the barrel pretty tightly.. like any spring (other than G2 spring or bigger) should work. and now it clicks.

8 Now put the cap part that you cut on the pen from the front (the end that was not cut should be facing the end of the pen) push that part all the way so that the little bump on it will touch the little bump on the clip for the G2 part

9 Last step i swear.. Now heres the painful part.. your gonna have to part with 2 of your RSVP grips.. to make it look beautiful, do what i tell you, if you dont care do whatever you want for grips.. Now for the first grip you put on cut it at 1.2 cm from the back(the part where theres a ring sticking out) measure from there 1.2cm down and cut it, it should be the second set of little dents on the grip. now for the second grip just cut the little ring off. now you put them both on, the shorter one on first, then the longer one.

10 well.. the whole thing about the last step was a lie... any how.. to make it look even more beautiful you can put an insert in the barrel.. if you want.. i dont care.. but i did any ways.. it looks great.. :)

11 okok this is seriously the last step... CLICK AWAY!!!!! DROOL OVER THE SEXINESS OF THIS PEN!! :)

Pros: -it clicks.... im amused by little things like that...
-its good for about every trick i know of.. and can do.. (infinities, thumb around, reverse thumbaround and sonic) thats not bad.... -.-
-it looks cool?
-well you get the point the list goes on...

Cons: -It might still be brittle im not sure.. i havent tested it yet... i'll tell you guys the next time it breaks :)
-Uses quite expensive pens.. sorta.. RSVP 1.50, G2 i think 2.50 almost...


I will keep improving on this and will keep you guys updated...

But how about the balance part?
I doubt the rear part must be a bit heavier

im thinking i've either made this before or its very similar to dark archers mod....

2 RSVP grips, i do that too, cuz u can get RSVP's easier and mix whatever colors u want to

yeah. i've just been catching up with wuts been happening the time i was away.... i wanna take part in the whole comssa cap thing... seems pretty cool... lol i wanna try them out.. well.... i cant really do that.. but atleast i'll get to touch the caps.. lol.. :P so yeah.. >.< seems like theres not many other canadians.... any ways.. about the balence.. lets say that the COP is around 8cm and the whole pen is 18cm
so about in the middle.. if i put it on my finger to show u guys it would be in the middle... i would but im too lazy to take a pic.. cuz i gotta use my cell and then take the mem card out and blah blah blah.. >.< lol i'll do it when im not lazy enough.. :P

Seems like you and I share minds. While I a couple of months ago was devoloping my RSVP re (which I released on UPSB v2) I got into the gripy thing you did on your v1, but i droped that idea and released it. Later on when I understood it was to fragile, I used a RSVP cap to keep it stedy. And now, I've droped that idea to, and come up with something sweet. Just need some final touches, then I'll release it ;)

ok... there could be a few differnt cases why..
1. The metal tip u use.... test to see if the ink tube can even go through it with little effort.. try to just aline them and let gravity pull the ink tube through the hole.. if the tip can go through than its ok.
2. did you pinch the ink tube and add a spring? i might have forgotten to mention it in the Tut. because i thought it was pretty obvious.. but sry... ok.. i'll put in detail how to do that part in the acctual Tut.. so u guys can check it out again.. lol sry if i didnt explain it that well.. its my second time writing a tut.. and i might have forgotten to mention it because im kinda tried these days...
3. did u add a spring? cuz..... yeah... that makes it pop back up.

if u met all those reasons.. then it should click.. if it dosnt....... i donno....... ur pen has issues.. mine works fine. -.- it just takes a bit of fine tuning.

Hmm, if I write with alot of force, do you think the G2 clicker will pop out? The one in my signature kinda pops out a little when you write with alot of force.

I made this mod but with an other tip,grip and click-system. Because the click-system don't worked so i had to create my own one. Now its good^^
But I think its still similar to the original mod-and it's great!! I really like to spin with it.

lol Define alot of force.. like.. just the kind of force when some one who writes really heavily or unnecessary force because ur trying to poke sumones eyes out?

and as for that, im glad it works now, ususally its the tips problem.. because it was my first time using a signo, and i noticed it only allowed the ink tube to come out like .5mm.. so the clicking mechanism would have to be fine tuned, any how.. have fun spinning it! :)

Well... I mean after a while you'll notice that the back portion does come out a little?

lol the 2 that i made dont seem to have this problem comming out.. i didnt sand too much.. maybe thats why, beacuse its a really tight fit.. and plus the cap on the outside helps it out a bit more too...

hey, godofdeath, i tried this mod out and its pretty good just made it a little bit different. I used 1 one bic grip instead of two rsvp grips and instead of cutting out a piece of the g2 i just cut out a piec of the ink tube from another rsvp ink (i have a lot of those). And isnt it better if u break off the clip off the g2 clicker part and put a grip over it? it seems much less annoying.

haha thank you!! and well.. i think the back is just about prefrence.. i dont find it annoying.. lol i accutally find that if i took it off, it makes me feel kinda lonely XP lol cuz im so used to seeing the clip.. but its just ur own choice if u wanna do anything else to this mod.. like i said in sum 1 else's thread, mods r just guidelines.. u may improve/modify them how ever u like to suit your taste :) but any ways thank you for ur comment! :)

uh hey how do u keep the part from the rsvp cap stop sliding up and down...its really annoying

crazy glue/super glue it onto the G2 Barrel but not the RSVP barrel. (but leave abit of the cap still fitting over the RSVP barrel) like how its shown in the picture. but just super glue the G2 part.. lol

I made one but i replaced the colored g2 part with half of a g2 grip (mod from HGG2)

oh I also used a supergel backpart with a toothpick, also a mod from HGG2 :P

this is one of my favorite mods

the only thing i did not like about it was the part where the G2 clicky parts met with the RSVP ink tube. also, i used a g2 grip instead of 2 rsvp grips, it put the COG right on the COP

i did a little modification to fix it.

First, i cut a HGG ink tube, it fit exactly in the G2 clicky part and the G2 refill. i wrapped the exposed end in teflon tape to make it fit snugly in the G2 refill.



Next, I used epoxy to glue another section of the HGG refill onto the other side of the G2 refill. I filed where the two parts met slightly to provide extra stability for the glue


(it looks a little messy because i went overboard with the epoxy XD)

When you put them together with the RSVP refill, this is what you get

Very nice modifications there, Dr1v37h38u5. A plus to a good mod. What you did probably reduced some sound (when being spun) too which I find irritating.

Lol that G-2 ink tube part is optional by the way, it can easily be replaced by alot of things, eg. a wooden stick, tooth pick, ect... the only limit is ur imagination :BRAIN: :BRAIN:

heh i should have took pics of mine today tho i made mine with hybrid gel as the barrel an used the g2r tip + clicker chopped the g2 grip in half and stuck on on each end after puttin on the hybrid gel on the tip =J

its acctually not that hard.. lol u can wrap tape around the ink tube to make it retract instead of pinching the sides, this way it saves alot of trouble! i think i made this mode in like.. probibly less than 20 minutes...

its done alrady. . .even i have a crap version of that from a few months back. . .

flame me if you want but the insert makes it look really unprofessional like dark archer's mods look extremely professional and your mod looks like its great to spin but kinda ugly dont flame me too much just putting it out there if you had better inserts it would look nasty and spin great

yea it looks to me like a great mod and good length its retractable and not too light the only thing i dont like is the insert great job on the mod tho :bowdown:

I've been bored, and i read sum stuff, and here is what i came up with: its not a new mod so i didnt post a new thread, its just kind of a side mod.. its for people who didnt like the clip, or the grip on front, you can alternatly change the G2 barrel for a grip, or the clip with no clip alternatly to make differnt versions to your liking. and i've also decided that the name for my mod, the whole thing shall now be reffered to as the G.T.R. (G TWO RSVP) people always put RSVP -something something, so i've decide to reverse the order.. lol hope u guys r happy and will have fun modding and spinning :)

It's alot like a Repeg, I don't know who did the mod first, but, just thought I'd let you know. :teach:
