I was interested in Dark Archers HG3 mod and i wanted to make a UCPSB Promo pen as well but didn't have a G3 to make it so i came up with this....

has the same functions of DA's mod using the BETTER Retractable Pen and instead of G3 i used an RSVP so tell me what u think.

RSVP is used, and yes the same mechanism is used for the retractability except you put it in the back of the RSVP cap rather than the g3

so yeah

Nice substitue there. I didn't use the RSVP because the spring wouldn't go all the way down to the tip, so you gotta modify the ink tube a little. I also like how the HGG grip overlaps the G3 tip unlike the one for the RSVP. Anyway, still yea... if you can't get G3s this might do only that I suspect it's heavier.

Hmm, I also realised... you gotta file the sides of the back portion a little? If not, the RSVP cap would be too tight a fit for twisting and pushing in and out.

nice mod!, about the grip thing, u should put the smaller 1 at the back and the bigger 1 infront, it'll look better... more like 1 grip, and its less noticable. lol :) but any how nice mod! i hope u post up a tut soon..

Grip conflict, HGG grip did not reach all the way to the tip so it looked bad

Tip: u have to cut off some of the tip so that the entire ink tub can fit through it and reach the metal tip.

Back: yes u have to file it but it doesn't take much work and still looks fine.

i dunno the weight on the HG3R < sorry about that, but mine is .1 grams heavier than MX

Other than that guys just follow DA's tut and substitute RSVP pieces for the G3 ones.

Hmm, I actually meant that you have to thicken the middle portion of the ink tube so that the spring won't pass through it.

oh yeah thats done easily with a plyers

just crimp down and it works great, and teh ink gets through it

Just take the HG3R Tutorial, and replace the g3 parts with RSVP parts.
