i think it's a manipulation..since you have to move the record and fader and such..
it's basically sound manipulation..
one of the best "manipulators" would have to be Mixmaster Mike
some other great turntablists would have to be the Invisibl Skratch Piklz
which was a group..of Qbert..Mixmaster Mike...Shortkut..Disk...and a whole bunch of other DJs back in the early nineties...
but anyways..I onsider Turntablism as a manipulation

never played it...haha

yea i play beatmania too!
i play them on my ps2 with the normal controllers so it aint that fun
but i can clear flashing 7 songs on IIDX 7 and 9 =D
