Title: How are G3's?
slickhare - June 1, 2006 06:29 AM (GMT)
so i'm thinking about ordering some G3's after seeing that one guy spin one in JaPen1st. so i was wondering what they're like in terms of weight and thickness compared to RSVP? also if anyone could link to some mods using them? i only know of DA's new one...

It's not light. Never held an RSVP before so i can't tell.

Sweet G3 Mod = G3 Jimnie thread @ UPSB (must be a member to view) - break the cap of a Zebra Jimnie, shove the Jimnie grip inside - reverse ink tube on the G3 body - wrap tape or glue cotton around back of G3 to let the Jimnie cap fit snugly - shove the Jimnie cap onto the back of the G3 body IMAGE: G3 Jimnie
*optional* - remove G3 grip - slide Hybrid Gel Grip (HGG) grip in place of the G3 grip IMAGE: G3 Jimnie Grip |

I don't really like to spin with the g3 I have, but I love to write with it. It writes so thick&smooth at 1.0mm. I spin it like a capped supergel (not that great).

Here's the tutorial, though it's a bit hard to understand. (scroll down)

that guide made me kinda confused too so i will write a short guide on how to make the G3-mx
1.take the HGG grip and put it into the cap of the G3
2.break off the clip of the G3 cap
3.add tape to the back of the G3 barrel so you can put the cap on
4.drill a hole on the back plug of the G3 if you want your G3-mx to write
5.insert ink tube reversed
6.cut anyball grips and place them on the cap and tip of the mod
DONE!

I just recieved sum G3s and i was wondering, is there like 2 differnt kinds of G3s? cuz the 1s i got didnt have metal tips.. and i was going over Darkarcher's mod and i realized that.. can sum 1 help me???
Sathon - October 7, 2006 11:49 PM (GMT)
G3 from japan doesn't have metal tip
godofdeath_ - October 8, 2006 02:58 AM (GMT)
You can still make the normal mods with the Japanese G3, it's just less balenced.
I just made Darkarcher's HG3R and replaced the tip with a Signo tip.
You can make all the mods you would.. except.. it won't look as cool.. cuz the tip is just plastic.

G3s from France are metal-tipped
spinofdoom - October 8, 2006 01:13 PM (GMT)
Singapore G3s are metal-tipped.

Germany G3s are metal tipped.
Driphter - October 9, 2006 04:24 AM (GMT)
To my knowledge, only G3's from Japan have the plastic tips. They don't use any G3 mods ther though, so most don't realize that they're ripping you off. So don't get mad, just ask for metal tips.
