Maybe that's the style in Korea and Japan, and they think we have really short fingernails.

Look at some of kitcat's vid he has really long nails, I like short ones more. I understand long nails for women but yeah it looks weird with men.

Err, not sure... With Chinese guys, normally the pinky nail is long as hell. At least the older generation has them. Not sure why though.

I think it's cool to have long fingernails ... before , i had long , and i was cuting them so they looked like claws ... and then my dad yelled my arse off ... so now ... i only like to watch penspinners with long nails ... not being one of them

Yeah, I think its neglect.

Personally, I eat double the protein of a "normal/healthy" diet -- so my nails and hair grow almost twice as fast as anyone elses. (I'm a bodybuilder.. I have to. haha) But that doesn't even take away from the fact that I trim every other day or so.

For non-Chinese, generally having one long fingernail means you're a cokehead.

But in the Chinese culture, leaving your pinky (or "4" for all you spinners) fingernail longer means you don't have to do any physical labour and is a sign of wealth and power.

Don't ask me why I know this, I have no clue :P


EDIT: As for leaving all your fingernails long, that's just, as S-L said, neglect.

If you do a lot of coke or other drugs which are inhaled in power form having a long pinky nail let's you just dig a little bit out with your nail and snort it directly off of that. Otherwise you would have to do lines or use a knife or something which is a little more work.
