Title: Fake double reverse
Alucard - July 10, 2006 08:29 PM (GMT)
is
this a fake double reverse or an index-thumbaroun?
xz64 - July 10, 2006 08:32 PM (GMT)
It looks like a Thumbindexaround reverse.

I'm pretty sure fake double reverse is backaround -> reverse TA

that combo is used a lot and i've never heard of anyone calling it fake double reverse so i don't think it would be...
i think it would be ta reverse>reverse ia
any ideas on that?

nonno
look on turtlespin
theres a trick called bakround to half of fl rev TA
that is reverse fake double
zombo does it continuously in part 2 of the upsb+pds collab

If TA starts the Fake Double, then Indexaround Reverse should start the Fake Double Reverse.
Backaround as the start would mean that Fingerless TA would start the Fake Double.
I like Indexaround Reverse > Fingerless Thumbaround Reverse

sorry to bring this back up to the top, but i agree with sketching up to the rev IA due to rev IA going 12-12...not 12-t1
personally i think it should be gunman > FL rev TA because isn't fake double TA > FL pass t1-12 (FL rev gunman)?
but then again everyone does gunman > FL rev TA and it's never called rev fake double...

I think it looks like a variation of neosonic.. but what do I know

fake double is a combo. not a trick. the only way to 'reverse' these combos is to start from the end and go to the beginning.
fake double - (catch-less) ta T1-T1 -> bak rev T1-T1(2)
so, fake double rev - bak T1(2)-T1 -> (fingerless) ta rev T1-T1

hmm...
upon re-thinking:
Fake Double = Thumbaround (without catch) > FL Indexaround > Pass Reverse 12-T1 (in preparation for a Thumbaround T1 if you were to do a Fake Triple)
So, Fake Double Reverse would be more like:
Pass T1-12 > NeoSonic 12 ( or 3/4 an Indexaround Reverse, since you do not catch the pen) > FL Thumbaround Reverse
Edit: bringing Backarounds into the Fake Double seems a bit excessive. :)

a pass AND a half indexaround??

The "transition" from the T1-12 is more of a Pass for me, the pen is held throughout the move.
The NeoSonic or 1/2 an Indexaround is more of a throw from 12-T1. There is a moment where the pen is not being held by any fingers as it travels around the Index finger, as opposed to Pass T1-12 where it is either being held between the Thumb and Index finger or the Index finger and Middle finger. :)
