From a professional point of view, it was a bad decision. He crippled his team in the finals. He could easily arrange an assasination AFTER the match. Then his team might have won and he could have all the revenge he wanted. But on the bright side, he's now famous for life!

All Italy is good at is falling over.

I think the italians made him do that so he would go out. Ribery was too tired to play anymore, Henry went out ecause of his muscle and only zidane was left inside all nervous, then materazzi maybe pinched him so he got even more nervous and then he said something about his mom and zidane just went crazy. France was left with no of the good players in the game, sure even though the best went out they still played better then the italians but not enough to beat them.
