Yoyoing is awesome and I think it's very much like penspinning in terms of style and movement. Here are a couple vids:

Yoyo-ing is really cool, but I don't know if I personally would do it, I can't even sleep a regular yoyo and there's no good stores around here that sell them.

I yoyo a lot. Im not GOOD but Im decent. I can do almost all of the tricks on mastermagic.net (best yoyo tricktip site evar!). also try theyo.com. recently I havnt been yoyoing as much because of psing but today the media class filmed me for their show that the whole school sees. yo on!

kwos is really (ken's world on a string) it was my teacher when i was yoyoing now i've sorta drifted away :GLOOMY: i think it's really kool. the best trick i could do was the atom smasher i think don't remember if that was the trick

Yeah! I am absolutley starting with yoyoing. It looks really cool :P And i have lots of hobbys like penspinning, coinroll, cards (not much) and stuff like that. Well, now I can add yoyoing to my list :D

If anyone is just starting i will recomend the YYJ Kickside, YYJ lynfury, duncan Freehand zero.

ya yoyoing is a lot more expensive than psing. my biggest problem with yoyoing is that you cant do it everywhere like you can psing. Im learning psing a lot faster than I learned to yoyo cause I do it for 8 hours every day in school.

I used to Yoyo, but that was like 7 years ago, and all i could do was around the world, walk the dog, rock the baby, elevator, and a few other random moves. The coolest one, however, was the Spaghetti. I don't know the proper names for them, that's just what I've always called them. Anyone know the Spaghetti?

ya i know spaghetti. its kindof cool/funny but unfortunatly to do it you have to use a super responsive yo.

dude the chinese yoyo is infinitely cooler. its alot easier to learn and u can make it hum and stuff.

it takes alot of hard work and practise to achieve a good yo-yo trick arsenal. Its pretty much like pen spinning. If you practise it as much as you do on pen spinning, you should be able to do it easily. You will need gloves etc if you decide to turn pro one day. I started yo-yo waaaaaay long before pen spinning so I kinda know a few moves. That was basically because of a fad that time. But than again, a good display of yo-yo tricks must also be planned before showing off.

not true, ppl that use gloves wear them to prevent string burn, and string burn is usually caused by really fast play, or playing in humid areas where your hands get sweaty and sticky.
