Vercingetorix - February 4, 2006 08:02 PM (GMT)
I noticed noone put a book spinning topic here so....
can anyone spin a book on their finger really good (like 5 seconds)?
sketching - February 4, 2006 08:09 PM (GMT)

Vercingetorix - February 4, 2006 08:12 PM (GMT)
Theyre the same thing except pillows are much lighter. I can spin my huge science textbook for like 2 seconds
Vercingetorix - February 4, 2006 08:18 PM (GMT)
Kaoru, all you have to do is put your finger slightly off center of the middle of the book then spin with your free hand. while its spinning you gotta move your hand in a clockwise motion to keep it going.
tokuwee15 - February 4, 2006 08:23 PM (GMT)
i can spin books with index, middle, and ring forever...still working on the pinky and thumb on my right hand.
for my left hand, i can only use my index and middle to spin forever.
Kaoru - February 4, 2006 08:26 PM (GMT)
sweet thanks ICDATA
i can do it for 2 seconds
and change your name it kinda hard to address you
Ivan the Terrible - February 4, 2006 08:27 PM (GMT)

Doesnt Subparspinner spin a tray in the beginners collab at the end?
Vercingetorix - February 4, 2006 10:54 PM (GMT)

post count doesn't matter that much...
anyways, when you get a lot better in the future and you start participating in videos and stuff, would you want your name to show up as i-cant-do-a-ta?? gives a pretty stupid impression if you ask me...

Or you can remove the email in you this account.
No idea if it'll work though.
Nigel - February 5, 2006 04:45 AM (GMT)
Sorry for off-topicing.
Just pm me with the name you want, I can change it for you.
Vercingetorix - February 5, 2006 08:54 AM (GMT)
nigel said he would change my name but id rather not...can't think of anything cool since someone else already has name Loki... :SORRY:
sicxer_ - February 5, 2006 09:49 AM (GMT)
How about change your name to I-can-do-TA?
Back on topic: Book spinning is very limitted because there are only a few tricks that can be done. Spin in either one way or the other, which dosen't really look diffrent imo. Throw it from finger to finger or to your knuckles even. Throw it to your other change and change fingers again. But other then that, nothing much you can do.
I can pass it from my thumb knuckle to all fingers except pinky. Its also fun to spin with other wierd stuff like trays (subpar) or dry pressed clothes or a keyboard etc...

That wouldn't help because it would still be really hard to address me like someone said earlier. I dont really care if i give a stupid impression to people watching videos.
tokuwee15 - February 5, 2006 08:55 PM (GMT)
heh...your name gives you the impression of a huge disrespect for yourself..
it is very easy to address you....just say ta then you'll know im talking about you.
*ahem*
so bookspinning...you can also do an interesting presentation by having two people and 2 books. they can exchange books in midair...which should look very cool.
Vercingetorix - February 6, 2006 04:20 AM (GMT)
Still can't think of a good name :( . Anyone got any name ideas??
Nigel - February 6, 2006 04:23 AM (GMT)
lol don't go off topic.
ask in the spammer's bin :D
Vercingetorix - February 6, 2006 09:23 PM (GMT)
tokuwee if they just started calling me ta you would never know if someone meant the trick or me.
UnEmploymentDude - September 6, 2006 04:39 AM (GMT)
I found out about this a while back when I was just starting to PS, never had time to try it due to all the pens,...
Here are some examples:

RippDrive - September 7, 2006 12:36 AM (GMT)
I wanted to learn to spin books until I suffered a few book spinning injuries. Pointy/hard corners =(
qwerty - September 19, 2006 12:41 PM (GMT)
I can generally do the tricks shown other than the tossing(tried before but gave up) and the one with extra spin by the other hand(never tried before). book spinning is actually the first form of manipulation i start to do about 4 yrs ago, and started spinning thumbarnd and charge the following yr which make me stop spinning books
yessir - September 19, 2006 08:47 PM (GMT)
yea i do this everytime!!!!!
lol used pillows and books
specter could prove it ... i was spinning in his house lol
EDIT: ill prove it myself here

fptbaseballspin - October 12, 2006 02:03 AM (GMT)
i can kinda do that its just like spinning a basketball ..............almost
Mats - October 12, 2006 02:16 AM (GMT)
omg, it looks like pure pwnage, but I don't think I gots any books in the whole house :jawdrop:
ChucKo - October 12, 2006 04:04 AM (GMT)
way too catchy. If I did that in class, my teachers would murder me. If I did that out of class, well...I have other stuff to do :P
however, my one of my friends does it too all of his books. Funny thing is that every book has a small circle in the center from being worn out from the spins
