Battle Royale is probably one of the best movies I've ever watched.

If you like those movies check out Survive Style +5, Ichi The Killer and Brother.

You should also check out Helter Skelter.. really good if you like a thrill.

FallenSeraph - August 19, 2006 02:49 AM (GMT)

What type of horror films do you like? Intellectua/trap movies, like saw; or slashers, like Friday the 13th and texas chainsaw massacre.

Edit- Has anybody seen cube, I thoght that was an interesting movie.

S-L Mafia - August 19, 2006 03:55 AM (GMT)
As far as new-release action movies are concerned...
For sure don't watch Ultraviolet. Mission Impossible 3 is mediocre. V for Vendetta is worth a watch. I wanted to rent Inside Man and Final Destination 3 to see how they were but they were always out of stock. Someone please tell me how they good/bad they are.

FallenSeraph - August 19, 2006 03:59 AM (GMT)
lol fight club is the biggest cult movie in teh world. jkjk well its definitely one of the best movies of all time.
that reminds me, try Shawshank redemption.

hmm wat recent ones did i like?
italian job was a nice comedy/action
grrr im drawing a blank

RippDrive - August 19, 2006 03:59 AM (GMT)
I actually heard that Ultraviolet was a pretty cool movie. I mean it was directed by the same dude who directed equilibrium and the fight scenes in that were godly.

sicxer_ - August 19, 2006 04:16 AM (GMT)
Inside man was ok, but nothing too special. I haven't watched final destination 3, but I think it would be better.

And is the entire battle royale on youtube? I've heard of it but don't know where to find it. Silent hill is also not too bad. Saw 3 is coming out this halloween too.

FallenSeraph - August 19, 2006 04:20 AM (GMT)
jus goto youtube and search battle royal

...or jus go here
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fv2RJKqh0mY

darkinertia - August 19, 2006 04:28 AM (GMT)
yea fight club rules...more about philosophy than fighting

UnEmploymentDude - August 19, 2006 06:17 AM (GMT)
Dohboy: I like all pretty much all horror. Loved both Saws. One of the few movies that actrully scared med a little. I hope they dont kill Saw 3.

Yeah SL is right V for Vendetta kicked ass, I watched it like 5 times before I got rid of my pirated copy.

Fight Club, damn should have gotten that. All my friends say its great, I've never seen it. I'll get it right after I watch Lord of War. Just finished.

Darkinertia: Tell me how Elephant is. Sounds interesting, and it got a good rating.

Djf - August 19, 2006 07:33 AM (GMT)
Final Destination is boring.. obviously made by a kid who grew up playing video games and watching mtv. If you have so much time on your hands as you can go and watch crap movies you'll know what I mean.

on and:

sicxer_ - August 19, 2006 08:02 AM (GMT)
Voila! In view humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the “vox populi” now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a bygone vexation stands vivified, and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin, van guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it’s my very good honour to meet you and you may call me V.

".....Are you a crazy person?"

I was awed by V's ability to ably assert the archetypical antithesis of antagonism by abnormally abstruse acts of alliteration. Apocryphal assumptions act against adages but arriving at apt answers is an asset acquired as age accumulates. One should actually aspire to attain an acceptable attitude and anticipate auspicious alternatives instead of accepting adversity.

B's next. (jk)

When V said "vichyssoise of verbiage" it made me laugh out loud. He was getting really creative with that one.

Other good past action movies are Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2, Transporter 2, and Batman Begins. Don't see X-3! Superman is....average from what I've heard; I'm too scared to personally view it in case it's bad because if I start a movie, I'm compelled to also finish it. Oh, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest is decent if you can tolerate cliffhanger endings.

@Yiep: Crash is a great movie! It won Best Picture.

Very good movie. Confusing as hell but in the end makes total sense. Not for those lacking in the intelligence department.

100% with you.
You just moved up in my book.
Best movies ever especially American Psycho I love it.

Joshua - February 5, 2007 09:36 PM (GMT)
If anyone liked American History X, I recommend checking out Animal (with Ving Rhames). Its almost parallel to American History X... but for black people!! This movie is a must, in my opinion.

EDIT--- Please tell me I'm not crazy... Equilibrium is at least 10x better than The Matrix.

NF Alex - February 5, 2007 09:37 PM (GMT)
Pokemon.

If you haven't seen the first and second movies, go watch them now.
