for godsake lets change the board name, i mean... Uber Cool Penspinning Board, its just childish name, i know many of the bigger spinners who wont even join the board cuz of the name, it should be changed, since i dont belive upsb3 will ever be up again and we will be stuck to this board it shouldnt be named UCPSB.

Yeah I totally agree. Sometimes when someone comes up to me and ask me if theres a forum for pen spinning, I hesitate to tell them. It just sounds wierd when you actually say it out. With UPSB, it actually sounded professional.

if u can find a good fitting name to UCPSB id advice to use it but otherwise just change the name totally, anything else than with the words Uber Cool in it.

Looking at what other things UC can stand for (assuming we keep PSB for Pen spinning board) here's some of the better ones. Not that we'd use them, but maybe it can give us ideas:

Universal Code
Unified Communications
United Citizens
User-Class
Unprogressive Conservative (since that's what retrospectre thinks we are)
Upper Class (not really either)

Here's one that I think we could work with:
Unified Community

UPSC---->Universal Pen Spinning Community lol i dunno....

UPSC is good, IMO.

Universal PenSpinning Community.

If we go with that, I'd prefer Unified or United to Universal.

It would be best to stick to the current abbrevations if possible so that all the old collabs that still have 'UCPSB' as the title can be referenced to this board. But I can't think of anything nice to fit into UC. Else, UPSC sounds good.

i really like the old logo, although i ahve to admit, upsb 3 is starting to look a bit unpromising, and ucpsb will stay around for awhile. so its now or never.

UCPSB is unified. we don't only have koreans. anyone from anywhere can join.

I think we fit both of those. UCPSB does bring together spinners from around the world into a single entity.

Well, I think Zombo's partially correct. The community is an entity that already connotes unification because a community that isn't unified just doesn't exist, so "unified community" is a pleonasm. Now, united suggests unification and that the members are in agreement/harmony with each other. However, this isn't always the case. As witnessed, not everyone has the same goals for the community.

How bout we just send Kam another 100$ so he'll actually try to work on UPSBv3?

a korean doesn't have to be in PDS, and We are not joining communities together, we are making a community with spinners from different other communities. Doesn't you cant belong to just one community, that's why it can't be an union of communities

Personally I like the current name. I mean as it is so many spinners take themselves way to seriously. What would happen if we took the uber cool out of our community? Hell, if you can't laugh at yourself watta' ya got? Nuttin'.

But since you guys seem hell bent on taking all the fun out of everything I would like to propose the name "UnCool PenSpinning Board."

UPSB slogan (well maybe not but this is what it says under the name):
The Universal Pen Spinning Board (UPSB) is a collaboration project in an effort to unite Pen Spinners all over the world. This board allows you to easily communicate with Pen Spinners and learn from each other in a comfortable atmosphere.
