Title: Devil's Sonic Reverse Thread

Is the Devil's Sonic Reverse the same as the transfer from 12-23 from neobak fall?
And how is a demon's sonic reverse done?

Is the Devil's Sonic Reverse the same as the transfer from 12-23 from neobak fall?
And how is a demon's sonic reverse done?

Devil's Sonic Reverse = Twisted Sonic Reverse 12 > Shadow Still Reverse 23
... it has a Charge Reverse first, then the "transfer > Neobak 23" part.

Demon's Sonic Reverse = Sonic Reverse 12 > Pass 23-34 (?)

Leviathan - February 8, 2006 10:32 PM (GMT)
Shouldn't a Devils Sonic Reverse be Shadow Still Reverse 12 > Twisted Sonic Reverse 12-23?

tokuwee15 - February 8, 2006 10:47 PM (GMT)
devil's sonic is

twisted sonic -> second half of shadow still.
so shadow still reverse -> twisted sonic reverse is not devil's sonic reverse.

reverse means backwards

and if devil sonic is

twisted sonic> shadow still

BACKWARDS is

shadowstill reverse > twisted sonic reverse

there should be a better name for

Twisted Sonic Reverse 12 > Shadow Still Reverse 23

killsburydohboy - February 9, 2006 12:21 AM (GMT)
Devil's sonic is more of a hybrid of the two tricks. It's twisted sonic ->hybrid shadow still 12. The reverse of the devil's sonic is reverse 2nd half of shadowstill-> reverse twisted sonic.

Demon's sonic reverse goes pass 12-34-> reverse sonic.

Here's a link if you're still confused http://turtlespin.rbhscsf.org/modules/arti...x.php?cat_id=10

In this UPSB thread, they said that Demon's Sonic Reverse starts with Sonic Reverse. I remember, cause that's also the thread where I schooled by Klaudiyah. ;)

If that's true, then Devil's Sonic Reverse should also start with Twisted Sonic Reverse.

Reverse means backwards. If you took a video of a Devils Sonic and played it backwards, you'd get a hybrid of Shadow Still Reverse > Twisted Sonic Reverse

Twisted Sonic Reverse 12 > Shadow Still Reverse 23 is kind of like a "mirrored" trick. Well, that's the only way I can think of describing it.

tokuwee15 - February 9, 2006 02:46 AM (GMT)
think of it like a twisted sonic.

a twisted sonic is

charge -> pass reverse.

but a twisted sonic reverse is not a

pass -> charge reverse.

and i don't think that vid on turtlespin is correct.

killsburydohboy - February 9, 2006 03:12 AM (GMT)
So if there are two kinds of "reverses", the on on turtlespin and the one from the UPSB thread, how do we diffrentiate them? Will one be called "mirror devils sonic", and the other "reverse devils sonic"?

Leviathan - February 9, 2006 03:25 AM (GMT)
The pass reverse in twisted sonic is like the last half of a charge. It makes a circular motion. So in the reverse twisted sonic, the pass is like a half reverse charge, then 3/4 of a reverse charge in 23.

tokuwee15 - February 9, 2006 05:16 AM (GMT)
...then think of it like a TA 2.0

TA 2.0 = 90% of TA -> (110%) fingerless TA

but

reverse TA 2.0 = 90% of reverse TA -> (110%) reverse fingerless TA

and according to your concept,

reverse TA 2.0 = (110%) reverse fingerless TA -> 90% reverse TA

which is kind of impossible.

my idea of reversing something is not by reversing the order, but by reversing the individual fractions of the tricks to make up that particular trick...
basically, i mean put a reverse in front of the trick(s) to reverse ____.

You are half correct.
This is not always true for all combos. For example, K4LC reverse does not work this way.
The idea of reversing combos is actually quite complicated. It depends on how the combos are done.

xz64 - February 9, 2006 04:14 PM (GMT)
Wow all I wanted to know if devils sonic reverse was similar to the neobak fall 12-23 part.
I reversed a devils around video I made and it turned out just like the devils sonic reverse except 23-23

i meant that only for tricks that could be 'broken down' such as devil's sonic...combos are a different story...double ta is a trick, right? because the first thumbaround is cut off by the fingerless one...

Leviathan - February 10, 2006 12:30 AM (GMT)
I think a rev fl ta > rev ta is possible, you'd just need to practice it.

We need the Naming Commitee...

tokuwee15 - February 10, 2006 12:54 AM (GMT)
yes, but it wouldn't be a trick anymore...it would be a combo.

Leviathan - February 10, 2006 01:12 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I guess you could be right on the Double TA (It's called Double TA, not TA 2.0), because in the normal, it starts with a finger push and the rest is hand movement. In my reverse, the finger push comes in the middle. But technically, your reverse isn't a backwards Double TA.

Demon's Sonic Reverse = Sonic Reverse 12 > Pass 23-34 (?)

hum...not if you consider the Tohlz's version of demon's sonic...but it seems that this tricks family is still not well enough known...

sketching - February 10, 2006 01:44 PM (GMT)
Yeah, Tohlz' video of the compilation is wrongly labeled.. which led to the whole mix-up on my part in the linked UPSB thread. This post by princeconer clears things up on that point.
