Title: Levitator

ShoeMan - September 17, 2006 12:59 AM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure I can learn thoe on my own but there is no harm in asking for tip.. so, are there any tips out there about the levitator and the rev?

The King - September 19, 2006 04:04 AM (GMT)
has anyone got a vid of leviator?

Is levitators always aerial tricks? I see a vid and i can do rev levitator in my hand (like fake reverse), not in air. Is this a diff tricks?

ShoeMan - September 21, 2006 10:58 AM (GMT)
the reverse levitator is indeed an aerial trick, doing it 'on the hand' is kinda like a way to practice it.

Bobr - September 21, 2006 01:45 PM (GMT)
ok, but if I use in the combo not aerial version of levitator, how I must called that?

xz64 - September 21, 2006 02:06 PM (GMT)
call it a fake reverse (and if you want, say middle finger variation)

Bobr - September 21, 2006 04:26 PM (GMT)
Fake reverse is another trick, it's like TA rev. I think better name of this trick is fake reverse levitator

TayYH89 - September 22, 2006 04:18 AM (GMT)
A Levitator done on the hand is the same as the current Fake Reverse. No new name is required.

ShoeMan - September 22, 2006 10:10 AM (GMT)
the lev and rev lev are tricks that use pressure building methods there is no real reason to do them not aerial in a middle of a combo..

hey guys are there any videos that arent quicktime (preferably youtube) or tutorials for this trick?

xz64 - November 19, 2006 11:10 PM (GMT)
Please don't revive old topics.

And the videos above aren't quicktime.

Levitator Normal @ YouTube.

faulk - April 27, 2007 02:30 AM (GMT)
Is that the levitator normal or reverse? David weis's forwardlev2bak vid shows the levitator spinning ccw on his right hand, so that means it would go cw on the left hand. But the youtube vid shows the pen going ccw on the left hand, so is that the reverse?

sketching - April 27, 2007 02:35 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I should probably get around to changing the name of that video at some point...
>_<

PenSpinner - May 1, 2007 08:07 PM (GMT)
Can anyone make a tutorial of the Trick? The Videos which are here in the thread are false without the vids of David Weis.
can anyone make also a video with startiposition and push?

en814 - August 9, 2007 07:56 PM (GMT)
Is there any particular way to catch the Levitator when doing the trick?
Also when u throw the pen up in the air with the pressure method do u turn ur wrist a bit to create the spin? Not sure :dunno:

ShoeMan - August 9, 2007 08:26 PM (GMT)
you don't catch it, it lands on your thumb/index "O" shape thing, and keeps on spinning..

rookee - August 9, 2007 09:06 PM (GMT)
No, levitator is the trick, and that spin is reverse TS.

If thats the case then what trick was sketching doing in his video?B/c i notice when he did it he caught the pen right after he spun it up. Iam so confused :pullhair:

@en814: read the post directly above you: Levitator, by itself, is caught. You can substitute the catch for some kind of top spin, but the trick is caught by default.
