Title: Mini RSVP's
killsburydohboy - February 16, 2006 09:27 PM (GMT)
I found these in Staple's today. They are just small versions of the regular rsvps, not retractable. But they should really be called min razzle dazzles because they aren't clear like rsvps, they're tinted like razzle dazzles. I don't know if they'd be good for spinning since they're shorter but for people who can't get razzle dazzles, like myself, we could use the caps since they are the same size. I'll get some pics up soon.
Edit here are the pics

No, just those HGR's or something. They have HGGs in Canada, but not in my city.
Flashy - February 17, 2006 02:05 AM (GMT)
how come no one talks bout hgrs andway, they arent that bad aside from the fact that theres only one color
or any mods with it, not like using the grips for substituting the mx or anything like tat
DevilJackEX - February 17, 2006 04:15 AM (GMT)
i have seen them a while ago and i make a Comssa Vortex by just breaking the screw thread at the end instead of cutting the barrel
TurbulentTurtle - February 17, 2006 05:45 AM (GMT)
Refer to my comment on "the other forum" ;)
I'm gonna buy a packet of those one day, make a mini MX and hang it around my belt loop.

looks really cool :D
I want one
someone that wanna trade??
FireFaith - February 17, 2006 06:26 PM (GMT)
pretty nice ! but .. I think that they'll be hard to spin with becouse they're so short . but maby you can use it to make awesome mods ?:D
killsburydohboy - February 17, 2006 09:13 PM (GMT)
I made one into an mx sort of today, i used a g2 grip instead and a signo tip to make it heavier, since it's so light to begin with. It's fun to spin with and looks cool but i find it hard to do tricks that require hand motion, like backaround, fingerless ta, etc.

How much did the mini RSVPs cost?
nike t - February 18, 2006 01:59 AM (GMT)
i saw them at staples today i think it was like 3.49 for 4 or 5 i don't remember i have very bad memory (not very sure)
xz64 - February 18, 2006 02:11 AM (GMT)
3.49?? dang thats expensive. You can get 5 or 6 regular rsvps at officemax for 3.49 or 5 razzle dazzles for 2.44 at target.

Mine cost me the same as a regular pack of rsvps. A pack of 5 rsvps and a pack of 5 minis cost me $4.99 canadian.
Edit- here's a pic of the modded version of it, I used a G2 grip and a signo tip.

cooool mini rsvp eheh loooooool
fung0wd0d41 - February 27, 2006 09:18 PM (GMT)
wow kills thats a damn short pen lol is it good or bad to spin with ? :D
killsburydohboy - February 27, 2006 09:31 PM (GMT)
It's ok, not as good as most mods because its so small, well its like a regular sized pen, but its better than a regular pen because its heavy and balanced.

Actually I just thought of an idea..
Remember the EMMX (or Subpar's EAMMX) I made last year? It was way too long...21.5cm or something like that. Maybe if I made one with this shorter RSVP it'll be good enough to spin...hmm...Killsbury see if you can make one. It would be sweet if it was any good :D

Hmmm... I can't find it on UPSB, here's a link to what I found about it,
http://pentrix.com/upsb2/viewtopic.php?t=5869&highlight=emmxIs there a thread about this pen only though? You keep saying its in your sig but you changed your sig since you posted so I can't really tell what it looks like.

Sigh sigh sigh...Killsbury you have yet to learn the ways of the PEN MODS TUTORIALs thread :D :D
Anyway on
this page of the thread, near the middle, Subpar makes a version of the mod using the G2 in the front and the RSVP in the back.
killsburydohboy - March 1, 2006 02:21 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the link, I might try that with the minis, but that thread gave me an idea, what if we made that mod with a retractable rsvp? Wouldn't that create a good sized retractable mod that isn't too breakable? Next time I get pens I'll go look for some retractable rsvps.

Oooooooh...good point. I know they have retractables at the local Walmart, I'll be sure to pick some up too.

Ive seen this...
Maybe theres a way to put 2 Mini RSVP's together at the end where the screw on thing is? Make it screw on two ways? It would be somewhat like a Vortex..Withought all the cutting
