UCPSB 3rd Collaboration Video Release

Finally, after weeks of editing, I have filtered, converted, researched and completed this video. Don't gets your hopes too high, this is'nt one of my best videos to date.

I picked the videos based on creativity, skill, unique presentation and also picked some people who wer'nt in previous collaboration videos. This is because I wanted this collaboration to be UCPSB as more of a whole, rather than of the elite of UCPSB.

Before I continue, I would like to thank everyone who participated and supported me for this project.

I would also want to thank people like Michael and Eriror, who did help a little on the comments and the music choice.

This project was probably the most stressful one of all of the videos. Mainly because I had to choose out of so many videos. Don't think just because you ar'nt in the video means you ar'nt good enough. Some people, like Swe_Empa and Gunnies kept sending in videos, and each video better than the one before. I would like to thank them for for their participation. Although I could not include them in the video, mainly due to time constrains, I appreciate their consistant efforts.

For the rest, I know some of them will be dissapointed, but I really had no choice but to filter them, considering this collaboration has only 14 spinners, and has over eight minutes of video, if I were to include more spinners, it would have been too much.

Yes, the number of people were filtered down to 14 spinners. Out of over 40 videos which I have received. Already having 14 spinners, the whole video is over eight minutes. The credits were probably the culprit, being over three minutes. I think most of you will know my style of editing collaboration videos.

Final Comments
Yes, its my longest video yet. Don't groan over it. This will probably be my first and one of my last public videos to ever be released. Rather than focusing on so many spinners at one time, I'd rather focus on lesser people so that they will be remembered rather than forgotten in the video. In future, my videos won't be ridiculously long, but still, enjoy this video. I have put in alot of work in this.

I got really supriced by the level of technique among the spinners, like Banz, never heard the name before (no offence ment), but he preformed one of the most technical combos. I cant keep up with the new guys anymore.

Anyway, what's up with this Dr. KT thing? everyone seems to use it, really, is it that good? Looks really heavy :/

EDIT: Wah! Almost forgot! Mainok! Got damn! I loved every part of your spinning! And that you had a black sleeve against the black background gave a really cool effect, great job man!

But, the frensh guys kicked ass, as usual. Great to watch A_qui spinning again

I like the intro. Nice video editing, but it's probably too long, 1:12 before the first sign of pen spinning.

Toast: Nice 'trick' at the end, but you don't have to make it so obvious be shaking both your hands. We can see that there is no support.

Michael: Fast frame rate next time. I can't see the spinning effect well.

Manick: Nice try in making a "hand + pen" only scene. However, choose a better colour contrast next time. Black pen tip + black background=I can't see the pen well.

Yiep: Mac :metal:

Eriror: Hmm... it seems like you are representing PDS. (Don't wear the wrist band next time!)

Scelus: better video quality next time.

Banz: yours is one of the few that really attracts my attention. Nice spinning style.

A_Qui: Same problem with Michael. However, yours is slightly better since you don't spin as fast.

Aaron: I like your infinity combo done in between the combos. At least there is a variety.

Ending/credits: hmm... there seems like a long break/pause between these and the videos before that. (Black and white screen)
The reason why the vidoe is long: credits is too slow. However, nice effects during the credits.

yeah I wasnt sure on that, I thought it was supposed to be "an" but most of the movies i've watched used "a" instead.

And yes, the credits as I've pointed out, was the main reason why the collab was very long.

I didn't like the editing that much.. it was very well done, but I think there is no link between the imo too long (1:13oO) intro and the video itself.. And 3 Min outro o0..

I don't want to say that the editing was bad.. as i said it's very well done, but there is no central thread in it.

Most spinning was cool. I liked scelus for his cont. tricks most.
And Toast got a very good Eriror-Style copy^^

wow, i didnt expect to get in.... i can say definitively that i was the worst. that aside, im kinda disappointed by the level of spinning. i mean it wasnt BAD persay, it jus wasnt that amazing.

first off, nice editing as always dk. i didnt really lik it the first time i saw ur long editing, but now that i get used to it, its actually really good. gives a professional edge to Psing. props to u.

second, WHO IS BANZ!!! his is definitely the combo that stood out to me. maybe jus b/c ive never heard of him before.

@toast - disappointing since isnt it already on ur youtube? plus the end trick was eh...

@micheal - ur frame rate get worse? it took alot away from ur combo

@eriror - yea wats up wit the pds band...

@dk - awesome unique style. added some really effective infinities this time too.

@both frat and romain - love both of ur styles, but u guys have definitely done better(dont take this negatively >_< u still rank high in my book)

hmm not to be a spoil sport, but everyone seemed to like manoiks and banz combo alot :dunno: but to me i didnt really see anything out of this world, to me they just seemed like generic palm down combos-tw sonic busts, shadows, and baks...but still col nonetheless :)

Aaron, that was cool what you did with the infities and stuff.

Michael, your cam really messes up your combos man, you either have to get better lighting, or something. but nice and fast nonetheless :grin:

Eriror, that was Uber korean :blaugh: maybe its just a wrist band i donno :P

I only regret not getting my camera togeather in time with my new computer so I could make a video for this one. I'll catch the next one -- because barely anyone has even seen me spin yet.

The beginning was cool, but than i expected the spinning to start but than there were a animation again..

For example I did some animations in gpc 1st and I think there it is obvious that the first part is an intro, but it is used 1st to introduce ps-modding, than psing its' self and last but not least the GPC-Logo introduction and the name of the collab.

I would have liked if you had let the spinning begin after the first 30 Seconds. Until there it was very cool with the music and than a break to get to the spinning. The animations after that itself was cool, but it doesn't fit in my opinion. Anyway gj ;)

of couse the first intro has nothing to do with the video; it's like when you go to a movie you see the screens for "dolby digital" and/or "warner bros.". They have nothing to do with the video, same thing.

well thanks for the comments guys, whether good or bad, I'll know how to improve it in future.

Well first off,

I'll never change my style for the credits. It's gonna be a long credits thing for some time now. But for it to be shortened, I'll reduce the time for each spinner for the next collab.

And for the intro, yes the intro is long. Over one minute. Alot of stuff has been changed since my first rewind video. My style of editing has also changed alot since my first video. The first intro was mroe of an intro of my production, while the next one would be more of a intro to the video itself. But if the community don't like it, I'll shorten it in future.

For the spinning, I'm not gonna lie. Almost every single video I see nowadays have the same standard spinning. I have received over 80 videos to date for my videos. So I do know what seems to be the trend in every stage. Right now, its the usage of Dr Kts and especially bakfalls.

This video is probably gonna be one of my last for a very long time. I will probably do another in future which will require each spinner to introduce something new instead of the standard spam of tricks.

The community has almost come to a deadlock right now in terms of spinning. Almost everything looks the same from my point of view. The standouts in this video was probably inhumanelmo and toast. Although it may not look good, at least they did try something different. For style wise, Yiep did the best in my opinion. Banz was a surprise. I did'nt know about him until I received a video. He's a very good spinner. But his style can be said to be quite common now. But I won't disregard the fact that he is skilled.

Well, overall, not my favourite video, hoh 2 still remains the top of my list. There was more variety of styles and creativeness in that video.

P.S I do listen to your comments, whether good or bad. I may not on some areas such as the credits but I'll try to stick to that style but at the same time, improving it.

Kay. According to a few people, comments for my combo aren't worthy, because I seem to be a half-assed Korean? Wow. I never knew a wristband was such a problem. Never heard any bitching against FireFaith, though. Or TurbulentTurtle. Whatever.

Length: Not a problem. I loved every second. Tension, man.

Editing: Beautiful. Maybe the stops between the songs are a bit too long, but it adds to the tension. :)

Spinning: Whoa, Dr. KT alert. Gonna update this tomorrow. I do need to say:

Banz did a mix of all my combos. Wow. <_< Very original. Okay, seemed like it. Still, smoothly done, and fast. 6 months of spinning?

Frankly, there is one part I copied one you Eriror: the back > middleback > twisted sonic bust fall, all the rest was a freestyle but i have to acknowledge that i like your combos and they may be some parts in my combo which could be parts of yours... sorry :unsure:

dk dont listen to anybody. i love ur editing right now. very unique and makes the vid alot better.

Banz's video stood out the most for me B)

banz' combo stood out to me as one of eriror's combos from calliopeia, but it was still executed well. as for the rest, nothing was above and beyond expectations of me.

eriror-ur bojo battle vid 2 will own this vid and him again. lol.

taro-i like it, but very korean.still very good though man.

Scelus - nice cont. tricks, u should look into a new camera...

maniok - some pauses in ur combo, black tips on a black backdrop doesn't work well.

everyone who i can't remember - below my standards, would have liked to see some of our elite 6 in there perhaps... KO, leviathan, patte... this collab was overall like 5 out of 10..

too long of into, which i didn't like, and too long of credits, again i didn't like. so to DK nice editing, but tone it down a bit. and way to not filter out yourself.

/rant, my combo was bad, i know that so if anyone says why weren't u in it, i didn't care. i was trying some new stuff and it obviously didn't work. pz gg's

romain: I loved your ending. you seem to sacrifice speed for more advanced tricks. Fair trade off, I would say.. but we both know that you can have both at the same time!

Toast: for some reason, I always thought that you didn't know much. Just a guess that you proved wrong. I like your sticky ending, and your combo was pretty good too. wouldn't hurt to give a bit more room for the hand. keep up the good work

Eriror-- agent 001, I have to play the video over and over again to figure out all of the tricks you're doing. Keep practicing for bojo's challenge

taro- you use the "korean-bak" which gives your combo a unique look. I actually really liked it

Scelus- were those cont bak rev? Koreans say that they hate repeated moves unless they're continuous. I guess you definitely pass ;)

Freeza- I think this is the first time I've seen you spin too. Try not to get the other hand in the camera (distraction.. people think you're going to transfer). good ending

Banz- I'm going to dub you Mr.Doppelganger, haha.

A_Qui- when you do sonics, try to make them have a circular motion instead of a striaght falling one. good job though

DkGamer- as I've said before, your combos are always slow but smooth. nice job

editting- very well done :clap: :clap: . one suggestion though; when the spinner's name appears, make it appear faster. When it fades in very slowly, I end up looking at the name to see who the spinner is. That makes me miss a lot of the combo :|

QFMFT. They do seem to get longer with every collab. And Eriror, don't accuse Banz of copying your style when you just copied off Koreans, right down to the PDS wristband.

Dude, i have never seen a korean spin the way eriror does, i have only seen people imitate Eriror's style. and as for the wristband, who gives a fuck. it's just for fun.

I do know how to spin. It doesn't mean I have to spin to be able to critique. I'm not the only one who commented on the wristband, so I'd appreciate it if you'd kindly remove yourself from my nuts.

i don't see what the big deal is about a wristband though, its still promoting ps, just not our boards, so as far as i see it its helping either way.

Maybe we need to make some sweet UCPSB (insert New Name here) wrist bands to help us spread like PDS has.

Here is what's the big problem.

For example, there is a Heat vs Suns game tonight and Dwyane Wade shows up on the court in a Bulls uniform. OMG, THERE IS A HUGE PROBLEM HERE!!!! If Dwyane Wade is playing for the Heat, WHY IS HE IN A BULLS UNIFORM!?!?!!?!?!?
