Nevermind the avatar size, it's fine.

fung0wd0d41 - January 7, 2006 07:06 PM (GMT)
i think it should be just a BIT bigger :)

AngryStudent - January 7, 2006 07:09 PM (GMT)
So True It dosnt look Right. Realy Why so small in the first place?

Bboy Banana - January 7, 2006 08:05 PM (GMT)
Cause its some cheap free board with lmited bandwdth. Spammers already wiped out 70%, so in order to gain back 20%, cuts were made for the avatar sizes. That leaves 50% for serious talk.

Jiyaom - January 7, 2006 10:04 PM (GMT)
Still, it's really ugly and it doesn't even look like an avatar..it looks like a freaking icon or something..

PS : I know alot of cheapass free boards and they all have bigger avatars...I don't think it makes that much of a difference to have 40x40 more pixels or something..besides, everyone can host their picture online so they could just disable the picture from your computer option and leave the url one..that way no bandwith is sucked from the board..

I must admit I'm extremely disappointed by the selfishness some of you have demonstrated by complaining about the avatar size restrictions. It's one thing to request a larger limit but another to incessantly whine about the current size. Take a moment to reflect on a few of the fundamental reasons any forum exists: for individuals to discuss common interests, share laughs and ideas; to interact! People will find out more about you by reading what you post rather than gazing at your avatar.
Face it, anyone can easily upload an image but making a (non-spam) post requires some time and effort. Regardless, the information we share and our sense of togetherness is far more important than some small picture below a username and is what makes us look more like a community instead of aloof individuals who happened to stumble across the same site.

seriously guys stop whining about the avatar size...

nigel worked hard to get this board started so be grateful

and if you hate the avatar size so much...leave and go cry about it in another place

This person spends too much time on pen spinning boards.

I seriously don't think avatar size is a huge problem. Maybe we'll change it later, but it's not top priority.

FireFaith - January 8, 2006 01:51 PM (GMT)
i think the size are perfect :D

Eriror - January 8, 2006 03:40 PM (GMT)
I think the posts themselves are top priority, not how big the avatars are.. As long as I can see what's in it, it's fine.

Jiyaom - January 8, 2006 05:56 PM (GMT)
Don't want to piss on your perade but I can hardly see what's in yours..
