Is this a new trick? If you want you can spin the 2. (here KT) before you do the PenAround...and after the PenAround. :)

/edit: lol...I did a Counter PenAround by mistake. :ugly:

First off, I would like to say I don't like the videos, I don't think it looks good.

Secondly and more importantly, I think it's awesome you are experimenting, and I'm sure you will have some uber cool stuff soon. Keep it up yo!

I know people without UPSB account can't see the thread, so...

Good thinking, Kensai <_<

I think the idea of using one pen to substitute a finger has been mentioned before, albeit it wasn't quite the same.

Now, I have some comments (and criticisms) which I hope you won't take personally.

First, wouldn't this make things too complicated? I mean, you're still spinning only one pen around something, so why would you need three pens (at least for the PenAround). I mean, if I saw someon pulling out three pens out and held them all in one hand, I would be expecting the person to spin all three of the pens :)

I can't really say that I won't be impressed by your trick, as I haven't seen it. But I'm thinking it might be too complicated for what it's worth.

Second, I don't believe that pens are meant to be held still (exceptions apply, of course). I love movement, so the idea of holding two pens fairly still, and just spinning one doesn't appeal to me.

I hope this doesn't discourage you from keeping developing this idea, though. I think it could be really cool if you can make more pens spin :D I know, it will be more difficult, but as they say... "you get what you put in" <_<

Keep up the good job,

I don't want this to be seen as a discouragement or something.
So, first of all, I would like to thank you for even trying out this new form of spinning in the first place.

The PenAround tricks you did pretty much look like a normal ThumbAround and IndexAround respectively, only that the finger is substituted with a pen instead. I wouldn't say that it is a good looking trick, or that it can be easily thought of, but, well done anyway. It's a good way forward. I believe there is potential for more unique tricks to be developed.

As for the combo, I like that. It doesn't just look like a "ThumbAround" for the PenAround you did in the combo in that combo. Somhow, they look different when you did it in a combo and as a trick. The one in the combo looks better.

damn... the long hair...

umm i think if you wer to use one pen and the switch the pens that would be pretty impresive ie

penaround>finger pass> PEN SWITCH... repeat?

its look better than having the pen stationary all the time.
you use like a neosonic as the transition between the pens

just a sugestion like =D

I've actually had a lot of ideas about 2p1h spinning. I was going to try to put some in my one year video but I couldn't get it right.

Yeah, the penaround does look like the rest of the arounds, but they all look like each other too. The trick is to combine them in a cool way, like continuous backaround to fingerless penaround reverse.

Anyway, I think it would be cool if this kind of spinning could be developed, even though it's extremely hard.

ive been trying sonics like this(one pen on 34 and one on 23) and its fucking hard...same with fingerpasses like this
