Title: Inverse Shadow
Rennac - April 2, 2006 10:14 PM (GMT)
It watched the vid at turtlespin a lot but i still don't get what u do. The textual instructions there weren't really clear enough, so if someone could give me some help that would be appreciated
clarification: Inverse Sonic 1.5 is now Inverse Shadow, thread title changed.

I'm not really sure if you're asking for a despriction of it how how to do it. Anyway heres both.
Its is basically an inverse sonic done palms up, and makes 1.5 rotations between 23-12.
Basically its the same thing as how you would learn a sonic 1.5 (if you know how to do a sonic 1.5) where you just have to control your index finger from wanting to catch the pen, and instead just letting it spin over the finger for the extra 0.5 rotation. When I was learning, I used a little hand motion to kinda throw the pen upwards by quickly lowering my hand before the 1.0 rotation, allowing the pen to continue a 0.5 spin above my index. Evetually you should be able to do it normally once you get your fingers used to the spinning motion.

Hmm you can do Inverse Shadow in Palm Up...For me is more easy
FallenSeraph - September 2, 2006 12:04 AM (GMT)
try starting at 23. and do a charge 23 first, then pretend ur doing inv sonic, but dont touch the pen with the index, jus let the pen keep on going

oh ok dont touch index and plams up!
:need practice:

according the naming comittee, sonic 1.5 doesn't exist anymore. It's shadow inverse with what fingers you want to use.
Try to use a correct notation now.

Inverse Shadow is definitely not a Fundamental. ^_^
Flashy - October 16, 2006 11:10 PM (GMT)
hehe it used to be a fundamental "and variations" but now i guess with the name change it goes to advanced
DaThroat - March 13, 2007 06:32 AM (GMT)
yeah i am able to do it but im not able to do it smoothly such that i can continue my combo after doing it.. im talking abt inverse shadow 12-23 here.. after doing it it lands between my mid and ring finger wif alot of force and starts shaking so i lose control and must stop my combo.. so i am only able to use it as a finishing move.. which sux :banghead:
anyone experienced this problem before and managed to solve it? or should i keep practicing?
Bobr - March 13, 2007 07:25 AM (GMT)
Inverse shadow is very hard trick, and it needs a lot of time to make it smooth in combo. I don't know any special move to make it smooth, maybe just doing more powerfull push to give pen bigger impulse and after catch doing charge. With this powerfull push charge must be good.
Simån - March 13, 2007 09:50 AM (GMT)
When i started learning inv. shadow, i also used a very powerful charge push...
But i dont use that now, i found out that it is much more smooth if you just work on the transfer from the charge to the topspin... It is all about to stop the pen as little as possible... I'm sorry that i cant explain it better, I just have to say that you must practice, and focus on what i said... that was the way i got it down...
You should practice the shadow there starts from 12... they are easiest...
Bobr - March 13, 2007 12:23 PM (GMT)
For me easiest inv shadow is 23-12
DaThroat - March 14, 2007 11:29 AM (GMT)
yeah.. it feels like im using too much force.. then if i dun use enough i cannot get pass the initial part of the trick.. muz keep practicing yeah.. :banghead:
trottsdude - March 15, 2007 03:41 AM (GMT)
grrr i cant get it...i keep releasing it wrong i think....
btw i challenge eriror to do THIS palmdown :-P lol
longhorn - March 16, 2007 08:12 AM (GMT)
Have any videos abut this trick I can't imagine about this trick
Simån - March 16, 2007 01:46 PM (GMT)
I found this one:
http://www.psconclave.com/w/images/f/f4/In...ill-by_xz64.aviIt is just a shadow there spins on the other side of the hand...

I don't believe in the second two either but YouTube is pretty sweet. Anyway, no problem, hope it helps you, I sure as hell can't do it lol.
Webo Splash - May 31, 2007 03:34 AM (GMT)
That looks like a palm spin. Except that it doesnt touch the palm. Ehh prolly a hybrid?
nike t - June 1, 2007 07:44 PM (GMT)
No hybridness in here. It's the inverse of a shadow, like the title of the thread says
FlyinAsian - June 1, 2007 10:20 PM (GMT)
Haha before when I just started pen spinning, I called this trick charge 1.5 :P. This was the second trick I learn after charge. Not very useful though since I find it hard to connect to other tricks though I guess you could 3/4 a inverse shadow and catch it in your thumb flap and do a TL Rev TA. Also its sorta hard to do without a hand motion especially with a heavy pen like my Dr.Kt
kiru-a - June 6, 2007 05:02 PM (GMT)
I am flattered that you are using my videos @ ucpsb :D
I asked Eriror if it's really the InverseShadow
Otherwise it would have been deleted instantly
K4S - June 8, 2007 06:52 AM (GMT)
well thanks for the vid kiru, it helped :)
Sfsr - July 26, 2007 03:55 PM (GMT)
Inversed Shadow Still 23 \o/
Started practicing yesterday ^^
