This is my new mod, the HGG DS. It is made from the bodies of two HGGs, which are connected in the center by a G2 piece. I had a lot of spare HGG bodies and didn't want them to go to waste, so I came up with this mod.

Materials Needed:



2 HGG bodies, caps, ink tubes
Back part of G2

Steps to mod:

1. Remove the ink tubes and back plugs from both HGGs

2. Cut around 3.5 cm from the front of both HGGs



3. File down the front parts of both ink tubes

4. Drill holes in the back plugs of both HGGs and reverse the ink tubes

5. Cut around 3.5 from the back of both ink tubes (you may need to empty some of the ink)

6. Place the ink tubes and plugs back into the HGGs

This should be your result so far: (Yes, the ink looks retarded, just ignore it)



7. Cut a 2.5 cm piece from the back of the G2 barrel

8. Push the piece of the G2 barrel on to the front part of one of the HGGs

9. Push the front of the other HGG into the other side of the G2 barrel. You should now have a double-sided mod.

10. Declip both HGG caps and place them on the ends of the pen

11. Optional: Place grips on the HGG caps

I know, I horribly screwed up the ink tubes. Hopefully you guys are better at emptying ink than I am.

Is there no way one could cut that length down to a more reasonable 18cm or so?

24 cm isn't that long, it's about the same as.. Grip Aviaire, Metallic Compirat, Metallic Extended Bictory. >_>

Yeah sorry, I haven't really thought of any good ways to shorten the mod other than taking off the caps. But if I think of something I'll post it here right away.

As for Comssa caps, they'll probably work, but I'm not sure since I don't have any. If you have some, you could give it a try.
