I made a new mod today. Simple and its pretty cool.

Pens Needed:
1 Swirl Desk Pen (You know the ones your teachers use)
And for those who have never ever seen one:

2 Bic caps (I like crystals, but you can use normal ones if you want it doesn't matter)
optional profile grips
Teflon Tape (NO BLACK TAPE WON'T WORK THE SAME)

Tutorial:
Well it couldn't get easier. Take some teflon tape and wrap it around the metal part surrounding the barrel and a little over the barrel. Put the Bic caps on and vioala. Ill post a pic later....

It not like DEAD Triangular, its got 3 flat sides and a round edge connecting them. like this

You could probably do some really cool stalls and spins with that almost flat side because it would tend to roll around less than a hexagonal pencil. Then again it sounds like a lot of tricks would be harder.

well yesterday me and my friends drove about an hour away and were looking for some pens to buy and we stopped in a teacher store and we found what seems to be a good replacement for the 3000*f the only downside of this pen is that the barrel is really small so caps do no fit on it and it doesn't come with any. the only caps I could find that fit were profile caps from the cappable kind. cog is perfectly in the middle and just like 3000*f it is a wooden hexagonal body and a pen on each side it comes with red and blue ink or black and red ink me and masterskittle got one of each. :D

ok you said that's what it looks like when you buy it. I REALLY don't think it's double sided with no caps when you buy it...

One more thing, try putting Bic Crystal caps on it to make it looks like a REAL 3000*F because the Bic Crystal caps look a lot like the 3000*F caps.

When I directly compare the uncapped version to the weight of an uncapped f-3000 mod I really don't think the weight difference is really that noticable
The caps is what really makes it heavier

f-3000 caps don't fit just incase someone is thinking of asking.

oh so the pen really does come double sided? So you won't have to get the back part out, put ink in on the other side, etc.?

Could you please try to see if the Bic Crystal caps work because those curve in. If they do fit, then I might consider getting some.

Since this pen now has another option for caps to be added, it should be opened back up. There's no need for two threads on the same pen. Since SL_Mafia and rookee are gone, this thread should stay relatively clean. ;)

mines hexagonal. its fantastic. My sis ter has these candy cane pens from choirr every year and the caps fit PERFECT!!! ZOMG!!! Its amazing!!!!! I found mine at my grandmas house. Its 30 years old lol
