Title: I Need Combo Ideas...

Voltaire - November 12, 2006 12:41 AM (GMT)
I'm having one hell of a time thinking up a good, smooth looking combo with the tricks I know, and I'm getting tired of doing the same combo over and over, so...

I'd like some suggestions! ^_^

Here's a list of what I can do consistantly:

34-23 sonic

23-12 sonic

Sonic Rise

Twisted Sonic

Neo Sonic

34 Charge

23 Charge

12 Charge

Backaround

Reverse Indexaround

Fingerpass ((It's really choppy, though.))

Thumbaround

Reverse Thumbaround

TA Harmonic

Any suggestions? ^_^

Edit: The longer the combo, the better. I'd like to start filming some of my stuff, but I don't want any short combos. ^_^

Charge 34 > Sonic 34-23 > Charge 23 > Sonic 23-12 > NeoSonic 12-T1 > Thumbaround Reverse T1-34 > Twisted Sonic 34-23 > NeoSonic 23-T1 > Pass T1-12 > Backaround > Pass 12-23 > NeoSonic 23-T1 > Thumbaround > Thumbaround Reverse T1-23 > Twisted Sonic 23-12 > Pass 12-23 > Twisted Sonic 23-12 > Pass 12-23 > Pass 23-34 > Sonic Rise > NeoSonic 12-T1

Voltaire - November 12, 2006 01:14 AM (GMT)
Ooh, thanks. ^^ I'm practicing that one right now, and I like it so far.

Rockstargames - November 12, 2006 07:23 AM (GMT)
Anyone come up with something thats looks good with these ? ..

Thumb Around Normal

Thumb Around Reverse

Thumb Around 1.5

Sonics: 34 - 23 .. 23 - 12 .. 12 - 23

Sonic Rise

Sonic Reverse

BackAround

Charge 23

Charge 12

Infinity Normal/Extended

Infinity Double/Extended

Pass's (sloppy)

Neo-Sonic

Twisted sonic

ed sect mobile - November 12, 2006 07:35 AM (GMT)
sonic rise > sonic reverse 12-23 > twisted sonic 23-12 > rev ta > back around > double infinity > ta

:spin:

ta rev catch 34 > sonic 34-23 > twisted sonic 23-12 > backaround

can be hard to smoothen out because of the directional change but i like the way it looks when its done good.

The King - November 12, 2006 07:38 AM (GMT)
did you have to make a new topic?

Sonic 34-23->charge 23->twisted sonic 23-12->reverse sonic 12-23->twisted sonic 23-12->pass 12-23->twisted sonic 23-12->ta

sketching - November 12, 2006 07:46 AM (GMT)
Let's keep these to a single topic, just say who the combo is for.

Aldmer - November 12, 2006 03:45 PM (GMT)
A Combo for both of you:

BREAKDOWN : Twisted Sonic 23-12> NeoSonic 12-T1 > Fingerless Thumbaround Reverse (or ta rev if u want ) > Inverse Reverse Twisted sonic (or Wraped sonic if u want^^) Pass 23-12 NeoSonic 12-T1

HERE IT IS : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAbANGWEU1Y

kavondak - November 12, 2006 04:07 PM (GMT)
out of those few tricks down in my sig, i really cant do much >_>

what do you think i should learn next? i think really fingerpass needs to be learned to do anything right?

ed sect mobile - November 12, 2006 07:16 PM (GMT)
backaround? sonic fall?

sketching - November 12, 2006 07:28 PM (GMT)
Halftap

kavondak - November 12, 2006 09:14 PM (GMT)

inv rev tw sonic and warped sonic are not the same things.

as a rule, tw sonics are when its a charge and it moves up the hand, or a rev charge and it moves down teh hand.
warped sonics r when its a charge and it moves down the hand, or a rev charge and it moves up the hand.

the inv modifier jus makes them go on the outside rather than the inside(during the pass).

sketching - November 12, 2006 09:49 PM (GMT)
I believe Aldmer meant that either trick can be used, since both tricks bring you down one finger slot (in this case, both tricks will go from 12-23); just like he suggested using either Thumbaround Reverse or Fingerless Thumbaround Reverse, both tricks move the pen to the same position.

Simån - November 12, 2006 10:59 PM (GMT)
Kovandak... You could also try out shadow... I see you can do a lot af sonic and charge variations, so shadow shouldn't be to complicated for you... It's just turn your palm downwards, do a sonic but keep the index down and let the pen spin on the top... Then raise the index at the end...

Voltaire... it is not cool to make long combos just to let the pen keep going... You should insteed think in shorter mini-combos, there are unique and where every part is important... Then you can combine your minicombos in to longer combos...
Maybe you allready knew that... But then you it again here...

Aldmer - November 13, 2006 06:02 PM (GMT)
Yeah I meant that if you can't do inv rev twisted sonic, you could do Wraped sonic. I actually know it's not the same :P

Kavondak i suggest you learn shadows and backarounds. You should also learn to link Twisted sonic and shadow 12-23 perfectly!

unknownazn - November 14, 2006 01:10 AM (GMT)

How about this:

Half sonic 34-23 to charge 24 -> Twisted Sonic bust 24-12 -> shadow still 12-12 -> Warped Sonic 12-23 (charge 12 -> pass reverse 12-23) -> pass reverse 23-34 -> Twisted sonic 34-23 -> pass reverse 23-12 -> Sonic Reverse 23-12 -> corkscrew -> FL TA (or TA) -> Backaround (a real back)

I could make a video if you would like.

NF Alex - December 4, 2006 12:17 AM (GMT)
My friend requested a combo for him and I can't think of anything >_>

Tricks:
Thumbaround normal
Sonic 34 and 23 normal
Twisted sonic 34 and 23 normal
Charge
Fingerpass (crappy)
Korean Backaround (can't do Weissan)
Neosonic
Double Charge
Fake Double/Triple
Very crappy neobaks
Infinity (single, double, triple, single extended)

Any ideas?

strat1227 - December 4, 2006 12:46 AM (GMT)
haha i dont know if i'd qualify that as easy considering it uses like 3 tricks i dont know.... it sounds like a pretty cool combo though. if i could make that smooth it would look nice.... if you would make a vid it would help me visualize if you have time?

well teach him simple minicombos like corkscrew (twisted sonic > halftab hybrid) and extended thumbaround ect. then he can just put them in any order he likes and have all kinds of combos

Edit: also one of my favorite little EASY minicombos is TA Harmonic ---> Sonic 23-12 ---> Korean Bak its pretty good to impress people who dont spin and its easy enough that you can do it consistantly

Plus, there are things like Shadow Still 13-13, 24-24, 14-14, T3-T3 and T4-T4. Just want to make that you are not stuck with just doing Shadow Still 12.

I think that should just go into the "Show off your new combos thread" seeing as how no one really asked for a video, and what you are doing is basically showing off. ;)

trottsdude - December 12, 2006 05:30 AM (GMT)
is there any pretty easy combos that will flow smoothly without fingerpass? can someone give me ideas with tricks in my sig
