blackhero - November 18, 2006 06:12 PM (GMT)
Are there any tutorials or
anybody have tips for me
I can do fake double/ triple,
just cant get it to work
FallenSeraph - November 18, 2006 06:28 PM (GMT)
uhh... isnt cont fake double kinda self explanatory? its jus do it again afterwards... they arent exactly hard to connect or hard to do for that matter.
ShoeMan - November 18, 2006 06:38 PM (GMT)
there are two kind of fake double..
one is ta>rev pass t1 12> rev pass 12 t1 which is easy
and the one that starts with a ts and kinda goes to a fake index spin which is kinda hard for me..
but if you can do a fake double ther is no problem for doing it cont.

Since Fake Double begins and ends in the same spot, it really should be a no-brainer. :banghead:

I believe the difficulty of this combo comes from the fact that quick movements of the index finger is required, to push the pen as well as to move above the thumb to allow the pen to spin around it. First, you'll have to learn to do the Fake Double with the push from the index finger. Then, you just practice it continuously.

Wait, isn't fake double a TA followed by the pen going around the index?

Yup.
For me I just started doing it slowly and once you get used to the IA -> TA movement to connect the fake doubles, then it should be easy.

I can do fake double, I just can't do fake triple well. And just to be fure, is cont. fake double supposed to be fake triple>fake triple...........
Sfsr - November 19, 2006 08:01 PM (GMT)
Fake Double -> Fake Double (Cont. Fake Double) = TA -> Rev. Pass T1-12-T12 -> TA -> Rev. Pass T1-12-T12
Fake Triple -> Fake Triple (Cont. Fake Triple) = TA -> Rev. Pass T1-12-T12 -> TA -> TA -> Rev. Pass T1-12-T12 -> TA
Or am I wrong?
Anyways, Cont. Fake Double isn't the same as Fake Triple -> Fake Triple

I prefer the one that does the extra spin on the index and lands between 12.
My record for cont. fake doubles is 15 :vhappy:

Lol. I got 157 in class, but had to stop because a friend slapped away the pen. :P Everyone was looking like: "Hot damn."
EDIT: Blackhero, your avatar is from PSO?
FallenSeraph - November 19, 2006 09:19 PM (GMT)
yea so essentially fake doubles arent hard to do cont.
now go try to do lik 7 rev baks after fakedouble =P sunrise ftw
Sfsr - November 19, 2006 09:29 PM (GMT)
If it lands between 12 then how do you do it Cont.? Since it should start out from T12
And could you give a better description of how to do the other version of Fake Double?
FallenSeraph - November 19, 2006 09:38 PM (GMT)

Doesn't this mean there are 2 slightly different tricks both named Fake Double?
I can do the one that ends at 12, the one with the semi-indexaround, and I don't quite understand the other one.
Is it ThumbAround -> Rev Pass T1-12 -> Rev Pass 12-T1 for the Cont? Cause I can't really get the trick to look smooth.
Sfsr - November 20, 2006 05:13 PM (GMT)
I thought all of them ended in TA postition...?
Vulkron - November 21, 2006 11:53 AM (GMT)
According to:
http://turtlespin.rbhscsf.org/modules/arti...ticle.php?id=20It ends between 12. "
Let the pen roll over the index finger and catch in the ending position of the Indexaround."

Heh eriror pwn me!!
but now i like to do fake double>rev bak cont.
it my passion of love.
And if you want to to continuous, you should go for the indexpsin kind. That way is ALOT easier to do continuous. Flows more naturally.
Sfsr - November 23, 2006 06:46 PM (GMT)
Wth...
Ext. TA ens in 12, Fake Double in TA position <.<
And what is this "index spin kind" ..?! Could anyone film it?

NOW I'm getting suspicious of turtlespin's(or Sfsr's) reliability.
Get the video for the 12 one
here.

The Turtlespin video section was last updated before we started debating the whole Fake Double issue. It is out of date at this point and has no reason to update until there is an actual conclusion.

Sfsr - November 28, 2006 08:01 PM (GMT)
Whoaw, that's like the one I always do...
Then what's the other one? Or is the only difference the pass being more "fl" instead?
Vulkron - December 8, 2006 02:22 PM (GMT)
Someone answer this?
I'm also looking for the answer :ssst:
