Hi_n_r_g - February 5, 2006 07:04 AM (GMT)
I was wondering if someone could help me with the double infinity. I really dont get how to do it. Tips would be nice. Thanks.

Double InfinityYou know how to do a single Inifinity, right?
After the Wiper Reverse 12, do this:
Pass Normal 12-23 > Wiper Reverse 23 > Pass Reverse 23-12 > Wiper Reverse 12 > Pass Reverse 12-T1
--
the Pass Reverse 23-12 will bring the pen back to 12 where you will finish just like a single Infinity.

http://www.pentrix.com/videos/video.php?v=doubleinfinity.swfIts easier to watch the video and then come back with a question if you have some problem with a part of the trick.
Basically you do the infinity as normal, but when you do the wiper rev 12, do a transfer 12-23 instead of a 12-t1. This part is simply getting your hands used to this movement. Then you do a kind of inverse soniv at the fingertips for the return journey. I just put fingers 13 together and the pen goes above them, with the index holding it in place. Once its back in 12 then just return it to t1 like you would with the ending part of the extended infinity (the part after the charge 12).

Just for clarification purposes:
1st half infinity normal t1 --> Through spin 12-23 --> through spin 23-12(has 2nd half extended infinity, returns to original infinity t1 position)
That seems easier to understand.
through spin 23-12 has the 2nd half of extended infinity t1

Spin Type 7 - The "Through" Spin.
This spin is a characteristic move of the Infinity family. In this move, the pen is held near the tips with two fingers. During the spin, the longer side of the pen would move from one side of the hand to the opposite side. The pen literally travels "through" the fingers with an axis of rotation that lies between the fingers, hence the name "Through" Spin. |
I take this to mean that the through spin is where the pen rotates in-between two fingers: Wiper or Wiper Reverse
In a Double Infinity, the transfer from 12-23 and 23-12 is a combination of Wiper Rev + Pass and Wiper Rev + Pass Reverse, respectively. These could also be called Inverse Sonic Reverse and Inverse Sonic Normal.
I don't read anything about a transfer being involved in the "through" spin.

Oh, I see you're not identifying wipers tohlz's way, So wiper reverse means wipe "up"
Ok I see it now.

No problem. :)
Wiper is when the pen swings like a pendulum between two fingers or a finger and thumb.
Wiper Normal swings up. Wiper Reverse swings down.

How does Double Infinity go?
I know Infinity is Wiper T1 12 but what is double?
Thanks for all the help.

then bring a drink and some snacks (and your pen <_< ) and watch that video 100 times in a row. thats ow i leanred it anyways :D

Could someone please identify these tricks:
Infinity 1:
http://www.zippyvideos.com/9383597415795876/vid00025/(disregard the last bit of film, I was repeating the trick and couldn't cut that part out)
Infinity 2:

It's kinda hard to see what you are doing but the first looks like a double infinity.
Edit: Yup, that's what it is.
Toast - August 14, 2006 02:40 AM (GMT)
the second one is a poorly done uncomplelte double infity-it does nto have the passes and wipers coming back up
yessir - August 14, 2006 03:21 AM (GMT)
yea the first one was wierd and i think the second one is not double infinity because the middle fing was out of place. if i remember right the mid fing is suppose to be on top of the pen rather than on the bottom
RippDrive - August 14, 2006 01:37 PM (GMT)
Well in the second video you follow the wiper 23 with a wiper 23 reverse and then do something else weird. First one just plane looks better too.

Is
here done as it must be?
JMember - April 20, 2007 02:30 PM (GMT)
I have been watching some videos of Double Infinity. But well, there are different versions I think, because each one is defferent to other.
So, wich one is correct?
This?, or
this?

The first link in your post is an extended double infinity (adding a charge halfway through at 23).
The second link is a correct double infinity.
JMember - April 20, 2007 06:28 PM (GMT)
OMG, didnt see that one says Double Infinity and the other Double Infinity Ext. Well, I have got the answer.
