and about Erik, that guy is great in with his style, love how he does so many harmonics so smoothly, and I know that he tabbed out all of his songs on his forums, great guy.

I personally think that Paul Gilbert is the best guitar player out there. Satriani and Vai are close though.

:P shredders are just too generic...imo there not good guitarist, they can just move there fingers really fast...but making a good harmony is another thing...dragonforce shows how shredding can be done the right way: fast, unique, and innovative.

And I agree with DI shredders are sorta generic, making a nice melody is the hard part. Like DragonForce.

Although some shredders can pull this off. take Joe Satriani in Satch Boggie parts of it is very enjoyable it will get boring since its just him playing guitar for 4 mins straight.
