well.. this isnt really a new mod, just an MX with a little extra ;)

first you start by taking your mx, then using a hybrid grip stuff the cap ( i used it becasue i had hybrid gel rollers ( donno if any 1 has seen them.. i think they're almost the same as the HGGs) well the point is the grip is longer, so any ways.. both my grips were silver so it looked nice.. anyhow.. after that, you take a spare piece of a G2 grip (or signo i dont think their that differnt) and put int on the OUTSIDE of the cap its a little hard, but if u have a pair of tweezers the job will be easier.. any ways.. try it out, if you guys dont like it, its reversable.. heres a pic:

Which grip is on the tip side of the pen?
What makes it better for Infinities?

desisted - March 6, 2006 07:57 AM (GMT)
Basically, it's better for infinities because of its extra weight on the cap. After all, there's 2 grips as I understand it (one on the outside and one on the inside)

Nice Job on the tutorial godofdeath_

lol thx.. and the grip, can be any spare grip you have... i just thought the normal mx didnt have enough weight to do infinities.. i wanted more momentum.. so i tried to add weight, without changing too much and i wanted to make it look better(the colour inside the cap and the grip) so i stuff a longer grip insde cuz i was thinking more mass=more weight and another grip on the outside, for this one i tired to use a G2 grip because i had a peice lying around. and because it was thick and isnt that ex to break, i tried it with the old grip (normal RSVP grip) but the second i stretched it, it broke. it has alot of weight on the back so infinities will work nicely.. but it needs some getting used to.

o and the grip inside the cap is from an rsvp hybrid gel roller cuz i dont think we can get HGGs in canada.. -.- well. not that i know of.. but im thinking its almost the same the HGG's grip is longer than the RSVP's right? so stuff that grip in if u have an extra one.. it matches mine because my grip was also silver.

more mass=more weight

It seems like a nice addition to the mx, but wouldn't adding the extra weight to the back of the rsvp mx, make it really unbalanced?

godofdeath_ - March 7, 2006 01:51 AM (GMT)
i would have one but my current means of getting one is a cell phone with a 1.3 megapixel camera.. so.. even if i had 1 u can hardly make out what it looks like....
-.- btw any 1 know any good webcams for a cheap price? lol

thats y its good for infinites? cuz u need more weight on the back.. the momentum will do the rest.. so its like a breeze.. except.. when you do tripple, if your pinky isnt strong enough.. its very hard...

But if it's unbalanced does that mean its only good for infinities, and not any other types of tricks?

the center of balence is still close to the orginal place of the mx except just a little off to the back so i woud say.. about 1 cm away? not much of a differnce, but thats only if ur holding it in the middle, but once ur holding it on tip for infinities, its gonna feel alot heavier, does that make any sense? lol its kinda confusing.. too tired..

thats what i use
or the eyetoy, its even less and its 30fps

O and for all you misbelievers (killsburydohboy) for saying that its unbalenced heres a pic that shows theres not much change in the COP

its so hot it defys the laws of gravity!! :P

wow, judging by that photo, the CoB is not bad at all. Although I personally would prefer one that is closer to the back (that way it can handle larger variety of tricks).

Just remember that for infinities, extra weight is not necessarily advantageous. For one thing, your tricks will be substantially slower. Try doing some sonics, you'll see what I mean by the CoB being too near the tip...

Other than that, I have to admit it looks pretty awesome. Dunno about the performance yet.
