i can do a lot of tricks but i just cant find ways to make them faster and smoother T_T

i'd say they come with mastery of tricks (and sometimes starting/ending the trick in many different positions)

I believe that it comes mainly from practice. The more comfortable you are with performing 2 tricks together, the smoother they can be.

Take some time to closely look at how you start and end each trick. Think about how tricks can look together, then try to perform them as such.

One thing to do may be to visually how you want tricks to look while performing. Maybe think about the kind of motion you would like the pen to perform, then figure out which tricks will be easiest to perform in that motion. After you have tricks lined up that you think will look good together, it's all a matter of doing the tricks over, and over, and over, until you get them to look good.

Try doing the tricks with your hand in different places. Sideways, upside down.... It Kinda gives you the control you need to connect and link your stuff.

yeah try and learn lots of variations.
for example, when trying to connect a trick to thumbaround, practice starting thumbaround with 12, 23, and so on. i guess its all about practice and like sketching said, being comfortable with the transition.

Yup practice makes perfect. For example, I can do thumb around rev, and link it to a sonic. Seems weird, but possible

yea this was definatly my problem for a long time. I could do a good amount of tricks, but my linking was ugly and sloppy (this is still a problem that haunts me B) ) I just stoppe practicing tricks, and started practicing minicombos. Now whenever im learning a new trick, once ive got the motion i start learning how to link it to other things smoothly. That and just practice is what helped me the most.

sonic break? O_o

anyways

I say continue to learn tricks. Eventually you will get bored, but also know enough tricks to freestyle. Then everything will come naturally. Of course, this also means that you wont be able to participate in a collab longer, as you cannot excecute proper combos yet.

thats what i did anyways..
