Title: Infinity Reverse Thread

Flip - March 10, 2006 05:58 AM (GMT)
Could someone explain this trick to me and how to do it? If anyone knows where a video of it is that would be good too.

Thanks

tokuwee15 - March 10, 2006 12:25 PM (GMT)
you can watch kam's infinity video on pentrix backwards. ;)

http://www.pentrix.com/videos/video.php?v=infinitynormal.swf

for a textual description...hold the pen by the tip/grip with the pen pointing towards the ground. swing the pen up in a clockwise motion until the pen is parallel with your index finger. grab the pen with the middle finger (which should be right under the pen now) and let the thumb go. now this part is a little tricky. let the pen swing through the index and middle finger so the pen is pointing downwards. grab the pen with your thumb and let go with the middle finger. and now you are in original starting position. ;)

hmm when you say swing it up so it is parallel with your index, do you mean so that it is like in the normal infinity starting postion? Im still confused on the transfer from T1 to 12, and 12 to T1 and how you do that.

yes, it should be the normal infinity starting position.

the transfers are basically passes done at the tip/grip of the pen.

the only thing i can do is i think... Extended Rev infinities
but very slow cuz the passes between fingers are that great...
i can explain to u a bi thow to go at it but i dunno about the first half, rev?...
so yeah u guys who can help us.

Flashy - April 18, 2006 05:49 AM (GMT)
infinity normal would use inverse sonics
infinity reverse wuld use sonics

Leviathan - April 18, 2006 06:42 AM (GMT)
Infinity doesn't use inverse sonics, it uses wipers and passes.

infinity = wiper rev T1 > pass T1-12 > wiper rev 12 > pass rev 12-T1

infinity rev = pass T1-12 > wiper 12 > pass rev 12-T1 > wiper T1

grsbmd - April 18, 2006 12:23 PM (GMT)
If you are able to do reverse Figure 8's in T1 and 12 or you can do wiper harmonics in T1 and 12, you should not have much difficulty with Reverse Infinity.

12 wiper is probably the hardest part.

i alwasy found it confusing how wen doing the bottom part the fall
its passes cuz if it were passes-cuz i thought it was liek .5 rotation but i guess im wrong

for the rising part for a normal triple infinity its inverse sonics rigth or can u jus rise up any way u want

Leviathan - April 18, 2006 05:33 PM (GMT)
When you do the rise part of triple infinity, it kind of looks like inverse sonics, but it's actually a combination of wiper reverses and pass reverses.

FallenSeraph - June 12, 2006 11:54 PM (GMT)
i looked in the past threads and none had a good description of the rev infinity. can any1 make a slow movie or tut, cauz i cant get the concept at all...
oh and while we r at it, any1 have some cool infinity variations(besides basic ones lik ext, double, triple, quad) post some breakdowns... im getting bored of normal infs <_<

Here are my videos of Infinity related combos and tricks.

RippDrive - June 13, 2006 02:57 AM (GMT)
I'm not sure about reserve infinity, seems a lot harder but really doesn't look any better.

As for other trick to do with infinities you can do a shadow with an extended infinity motion. If you are doing a double or triple you can work in sonics when going back up the hand. You could also do a scissor spin when you get to the wiper reverse 12.

I don't do infinities very often so that's about all I can really think of at the moment.

FallenSeraph - June 13, 2006 03:12 AM (GMT)
rev infinity looks alot better when thrown in with a bunch of normal ones. the change in direction really catches ppls attention(at least mine ;) )
and sry but wats scissor spin?

Ivan the Terrible - June 13, 2006 12:14 PM (GMT)
I remember myself trying the rev. infinity but I couldn't figure it out myself. The only 2 things I learned it from in like 2 minutes were Zombo's counter infinity vid and xz64's reverse infinity vid.

Here's scissor spin.
Scissor spin

FallenSeraph - June 14, 2006 12:44 AM (GMT)
okay i got rev figure 8 down, but i have no lcue how to do it with a pass

spinofdoom - August 7, 2006 01:13 PM (GMT)
What's the motion of the reverse infinity?I can do almost all infinity basic, exceot infinity reverse.Could someone post a video?

RippDrive - August 7, 2006 01:26 PM (GMT)
Find an infinity video and watch it frame by frame backwards =p

But seriously;
http://www.psconclave.com/xz64/infinityrev.avi

Wiper 12 > pass reverse 12-T1 > Wiper T1 > pass T1-12

Hullmo717 - October 17, 2006 03:11 AM (GMT)
Firstly I have a few question about reverse infinities. 1. Does it exist? 2. If it does exist: wtf??? This is giving me more of a headache then my first year math courses.

I've also been playing with this idea about using infinities to transfer from hand to hand. I can sort of do an infinity left T right 1T although it looks really shitty. But I figure that with this as a start would it not be possible to continue down either hand. I also thought that it might be possible to sort of add to the quadruple infinity by using a transfer similar to this, although I really have no clue if this would work since I can't even do a triple infinity yet.

Anyways I'd like to hear if anything I have said makes any sense. Thanks

UnEmploymentDude - October 17, 2006 03:30 AM (GMT)
1. Yes
2. Wiper 12 -> pass 12-t1 -> wiper t1 -> pass t1-12

Why dont you transfer during one of the wipers?

EDIT: damn you xz...

Infinity Reverse:
Wiper Normal T1 > Pass Normal T1-12 > Wiper Normal 12 > Pass Reverse 12-T1

Infinity Reverse:
Wiper Normal T1 > Pass Normal T1-12 > Wiper Normal 12 > Pass Reverse 12-T1

Does that mean that Infinity Normal is also now notated as Wiper Reverse T1 > Pass Reverse T1-12 > Wiper Reverse 12 > Pass Normal 12-T1?

I know I've been away for a while, but it never used to have passes explicitly described...

sketching - October 17, 2006 06:40 PM (GMT)
Inf Normal is:
Wiper Rev T1- > Pass Normal T1-12 > Wiper Rev 12 > Pass Rev 12-T1

Inf could always be broken down into Wipers if we wanted to, it makes things easier to show the combo in the most basic steps possible.

You could also think of of Infinities using Inverse Sonics at the tips, but people seem to have trouble grasping that at first.

It's all about making things as easy-to-understand as possible.

en814 - July 22, 2007 05:23 AM (GMT)
This looks so cool to learn  . I can most of the breakdown but I am not sure how to bring it back up for the final part :banghead: .
Any tips? or can someone make a close up vid of the reverse. Not sure how Leviathan brought the pen back up, its was like magic   .
